Where does Andy Scott fit in all this? He’s in charge of recruitment, so would have thought the blame should largely sit with him. Not saying Cooper hasn’t got a key role in all this - he clearly has - but we shouldn’t let Scott off the hook either The signing of two not match fit Americans in non priority positions (particularly Arriola) said a lot to me.

The two Americans would have been ordered up straight from DC central, not Scott. I think Scott’s job is simple, spot young assets that will appreciate for future sell on. Getting them into a functioning team is the manager’s job. Lisa is right that we have a few that can hardly pass a football, but that in itself is a damning indictment of two years of ‘coaching’. Also, of course, the team passed fine under Potter but lacked defensive steel.

Agree totally that coaching failures rest solely with Cooper, and certainly passing ability and lack of attacking intent come into that. I still maintain though that getting the right players in is mainly the job of Scott and failure to get a striker mainly rests with him. Whether Cooper would have used that striker and get the best out of him is clearly another point entirely even though most of us would have our doubts.

Morris was fit, but mostly ignored. Arriola was fit enough to be named on the bench several times. Rank bad luck in Morris's case, perhaps a bit of diplomatic doublespeak in Arriola's.

The US needs to be tapped.
After brexit and EU citizens falling into the same category with FA as all other nations we can no longer bring in good players from Europe as those with sufficient international experience will be attracted to better placed club. US internationals are more likely to be available at a sensible price than home grown players who will also be in greater demand.
Morris should have been used but his position was a carbon copy of Gyokeres and Peterson who Cooper didn't know what to do with.
Arriola, IMO came here to get fit after serious injuries and, giving the manager the benefit of the doubt, hadn’t recovered then there was the social media problem.
Lack of another striker may well be down to not having time to bring someone in after Cullen's injury late in January.

If Scott hasn't been casting the net wide he's been negligent.

People still supporting Cooper!
Predictable I suppose when people still support Johnson.

Similarly, in Wales we're desperate for change, yet the retards will keep the same useless ape in authority...oh the irony
