• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

Francis been dogshit all season.

I really don't know what he does other than run around like a headless chicken. Same with yalcouye actually

I got slated with this opinion earlier in the season.

Picking Franco and Yalcouye (and Stamenic for that matter) in midfield and putting Galbraith at right back is like taking three Asda value sausages out of the freezer for your tea whilst the dog has a ribeye steak

yalcouhe was giving us options but his reaction was f'ing amateur and costly. Three points thrown away. It made me initially react to suggest he can eff off back to Brighton pronto

Supposedly a major coup and prem quality when he came in.... looks nowhere near that level

I thought Yalcouye looked bright before the red, he is handy on the turn and is much quicker with the ball than our other midfielders.

Franco has had a poor start to the season, think he's struggling with Stamenic taking his role. Even last season, he was never amazing on the ball, but a very good shutter and tackler, which he seems to be doing less of

I bet he would look somewhere near that level when surrounded by better players and when understanding exactly what his role is in the team.

That first half, we played 1-5-5 with a gaping hole between Stamenic and the other 5, QPR would look up and slice through our crazy 5 man press almost at will straight down the middle, Galbraith moved into midfield and it was like a breath of fresh air, because he wasn't as kamikaze as Franco (whether it's by instruction or what) just leaving mental gaps in the centre of the pitch.. it was self-sabotage

We have too many midfielders all trying to do a similar job and getting in each others way. In a short cameo Widell showed us precisely what we have been missing. Movement and workrate in their final third of the pitch, not ours.
Which begs the question- why hasn’t Sheehan accommodated him at ten? Over cautiousness?
Incompetence ?
We need to do to other teams what other teams do to us if we want to get anywhere near competitive in this division.

Having a similar debate on the other site. It's not how we played last season so what has changed? Is it down to Darren O'Dea's influence? He's spent a lot of time working for Brendan Rodgers, who we all know has been a fan of the three CM approach in the past.

Whoever's fault it is, we can't keep doing it. We have to have more creativity, attacking intent, call it what you will in the middle. Stamenic is a ball winner and we're asking him to set the tempo. Galbraith should be our box to box player but we had him at RB. Franco seems to have been a bit crowded out by having MS operating in the same part of the pitch and doing a similar job.

I'd have Franco sitting deep, Galbraith driving the play forward and Widell at AM.

I think both are good players but they shouldn’t be playing as dual 8s. I don’t think that works for us at the moment anyway with the players we have available. We need to stop ignoring the midfield for me, and then players will start to look better. Our constant attempts to attack down the wing are making us way too predictable.
