• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

Bloody hell that's a couple of million down the pan!!!

Can't see Ballance being there long.

That's a pity. I've got tickets for the NZ test.

Today is going to be a big day. Though seeing as this is Yorkshire they'll probably have a row about someone being in the wrong parking space and the EGM will be adjourned until next May.

Yorkshire chairman Roger Hutton has resigned. Looks like he’s taking a pop at the ECB on the way out.

Michael Vaughan has also been accused of making racist comments!!

Stupid comments I can see him guilty of, but racist??? I'd be surprised.

Agreed. My guess is that if Vaughan said it he would have meant it teasingly, with a wink, rather than maliciously. If he'd wanted Yorkshire to pick fewer Asian players he's hardly likely to raise that matter with the actual Asian players.

Edit: Vaughan's case not helped by Rana Naved-ul-Hasan's claims of hearing racially insensitive comments.

Why piss on his head ? Was there an element of tea bagging involved?

Brings back memories of Fatty's boys pissing over Bonnie Cartwright's head from behind the stage curtains at Baron's!

" She fùcking loves me boys "

Mixed messages from the board saying " at the time he took it on the chin".
Cant help themselves.

These "young men" are daft when left alone for 5-6 days traveling around the UK in the cricket season.
I am not defending them one bit .

I personally do not think Vaughan is a racist.

We all know , well those of us who have been involved in t eam sports "what goes on tour stays on tour".
The banter and insults..... sometimes it is all said in jest.
Nowadays everything seems to have to be so sanitised and squeaky clean.

Anyone know what Neath RFC do on team bus to new recruits?
Anyone know what Newport RFC and Bridgend RFC used to do as "initiations"........even Mumbles got into the papers a few years ago.

I'll leave it there.

Racism is abhorrent but there's a lot of abuse that has gone on amongst teams we all love, support and may even have been part of

YCCC going to going through everything with a fine tooth comb. No statute of limitations for Tweeters, as we saw with Ollie Robinson in the summer.
