• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler
    Owner, jackarmy.net

Aided and abetted by the client journalists. Has this class of client journalist always existed or is it now worse, Clase?

It's probably always been there to some extent. During my lifetime, I've always seen the Tories as a party trying to maintain and increase the rich/poor divide and that has been their ethos for over 200 years when the party started and mainly consisted of wealthy landowners and high up royalists and religious figures. Since WW2, they have continued this but have had to be a little more discrete about it as Labour had become more of a major political force but all that ended during the last decade, particularly under Johnson, when they became shamelessly more brazen, made no secret of their aims and have engineered things like, amongst others, the multi-billion pound PPE scandal in broad daylight with little very attempt to conceal it. This has emboldened the client journalists who were always there but who now probably feel that sucking up to these demagogues is acceptable as being completely shameless is now more widespread than I can ever remember it.

I'm certainly not advocating nor approving of what I'm about to say, but if the masses knew the truth the likes of Murdoch and their lackeys like Hope, Cole and Co would be lynched
