• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

He's got no chance of making it. He is on a development program and wont see the field for years if ever. Christian Wade spent 3 seasons on the Buffalo practice squad and gave up.

I'd do the same if I was in his position. Rugby will be here waiting if and when he decides to come back.

Paul Thorburn 1987 ...

Fair play to him, the easy thing would be to carry on being an international winger. Bread and butter for him. But he has chosen a new challenge, out of his comfort zone.

I think Wade went over at 27, so it's an advantage to Rees-Zammit giving it a go at 22. NFL teams may be more willing to develop him when he has more years ahead of him.

Huge challenge though, having not played at High School or College level. The only two foreign players I can think of who've 'made it' without playing at college level are Efe Obada and Jordan Mailata.

Also wonder what position he's hoping to play. Running back would make most sense, but don't see many running backs with his height. Possibly wide receiver or tight end, but they'd take even longer to learn how to play.

Off to NFL 👀👀👀
Its hard to know what to say about all this, could be he's disillusioned with Rugby and feels the need to get out, or he wants to try and become an NFL superstar>?
I've no idea about the game, except to say that I've never watched it and no intention of watching it either.
