• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

Anyone know what's happening with either of them?

Govea is only recently back to fitness, scored against WBA Under-21s last week, Thursday I think? Can understand him not playing against Blackburn as it was so soon after his last game, and I suppose he's had no time to train with the squad since. Got to imagine he'll be back in the squad in the coming weeks?

Absolutely no idea on Parker, but signed a long-term deal recently so encouraged enough by his promised playtime. Think he had a serious hamstring injury last season?

Wouldn't mind seeing us giving Nzingo a go off the bench sooner rather than later. Been very effective for the u-21s either side of injury. I don't think we have much to lose at this point in terms of trying new attacking options.

People go on about how thin our squad is yet the management seem very reluctant in utilising our U21's.

Nzingo is an interesting one.
We paid a little for him and is nearing 20, he has played a few games for Reims B side which is the 4th tier of French football.
He should be getting involved in first team squads at this stage and at his age, I know he has been injured for a bit but is back in the mix.

Yeah it's my number one bane of contention with Luke. I like him as a manager, but his insistence on only using previously failed players does my head in when the academy is still in a good shape.

My gut feeling on this (based on no knowledge or expertise whatsoever) is that most managers would rather play a middle of the road veteran plodder like Fulton rather than gamble on a youngster.

Your experienced veteran will likely not really improve your chances of winning a game, but is less likely to drop a bollock and lose you the game.

Or maybe I'm wrong and Luke has had a good look at them all with the result he genuinely believes they're no better than those currently in the team/on the bench?

You'd hope the manager and the coaching staff know more than we do.

At some point we need to through one or two in at the deep end and see if they see their opportunity.

Williams was quick enough to get Govea involved last season, given that he played 90 minutes for the under 21's last week I'd expect him to be on the bench on Saturday.
No idea on Parkers fitness

And is there any info on Ginnelly.

Heard that he could be back by the middle of November and then recently read it will be 3 months.

Anyone know anything?

I read a few weeks it's looking like January time. Or there about. Williams didn't seem confident he will be back for a while as had some set backs.

Depending on who you ask, he's either back in training, almost back in training, still a while away from returning or completely crocked & won't kick a ball again.
