• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler
    Owner, jackarmy.net

You'd hope the manager and the coaching staff know more than we do.

At some point we need to through one or two in at the deep end and see if they see their opportunity.
Our business model is based on finding players relatively cheaply and selling them on for profit.
Of the current squad, I'd say maybe Cabango, Darling & Franco fit that mould.
We've previously relied on our academy to supplement this with the likes of McBurnie, James, Rodon, Roberts, Ben Davies etc.
With our current recruitment 'team' on it's arse, we'll have to rely on our academy again soon to find the next 'asset' to sell.
Williams will have to start giving them opportunities soon, surely?

Based on current evidence is he the right person to aid their development?

Compare his use of the academy to Potter or Cooper. Granted Cooper was mainly loans but still a young squad. They're streets ahead of LW in helping youngsters develop.

Cooper earned his bread and better with Liverpool and England at youth level.

Would Mark Guehi be the player he is today without his spell with us.

Totally. Same with Gallagher.
Some of his players haven't hit the heights of others, Woodman, Brewster etc but Guehi's career took off as a direct result of his loan here. He went from us pretty much straight to Crystal Palace.

Yet another goal for Nzingo. He's too good for that level and he's 20 next week, get him involved with the first team squad

We should always look at what we have got coming through. Already wingers Parker and Govear impressed and Glory Nzongo.and Kyrrel Wilson are on target .
No harm trying them now .
