• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

Just watched the match back… felt like Ronald was back to the kind of form we saw of him when he first joined.

When we play to his strengths… getting the ball to him quickly and isolating the full back against him he’s unplayable.

Long may it continue.

Against Oxford it was the first time in a while I saw him making a run past the full back without the ball prior to our 1st goal and it then led to our 1st goal.

Hopefully got his head back in it.

I was annoyed with him for not playing Peart Harris in, late in the second half when we were under the cosh but our defence cleared the ball upfield for him to chase. He did tremendously well to win the high ball against the central defender but failed to see PH steaming up unmarked on his left, and he tried an audacious lob from 40/50 yards instead of squaring it, but overall he had a great match. Not least of which was his excellent assist for the goal.

Looking back at the replay of that chance I’m not sure the pass was ever on.

The guy is a mystery wrapped up in an enigma. I'm sure he has no fvkn idea what he's doing half the time, so how can the rest of us.
Thers a talent in there, gonna take a good coach to extract and develop it.

He's ok sometimes, and has at least earned his money the last couple of games and done what he's paid to do, thank god, but I mean come on, unplayable? He's been unplayable for most of the season alright, as in he shouldn't play.

I don’t buy that… I think he’s been poor offensively (as had most of the team) but his defensive play and amount of effort he puts in winning back possession has been phenomenal and worth having in the team if just for that

Fair enough. I prefer my winger to wing, but I accept he's not been given much chance up to now.

And me… I much prefer him when he isolates his full back and burns them… but he’s had limited opportunities until the last couple of games to do that.

Somethings changed in the system and he’s seeing the benefit of it.

His end product is not great and his shooting on sight requires an extra touch.. better coaching an a goal or 2 might settle him down

When the opposition are pushed up and Vig catches a cross, I’d like Ronald to just leg it. Vig has got the accuracy to put it through for him.
Underused tactic
Ronald perna isso meu amigo.

I think Ronald looks more effective on the left especially when cutting in on his right. Anyone agree? And even though it's not his natural position, I thought MPH looked good on the right especially in tandem with Key.
