• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler
    Owner, jackarmy.net

The sour taste of all those mini "owners" who jumped on board effectively ruining our place at the top table is gone. No idea how the future will be but at the moment there is a sweeter taste and long may it continue. I know that Morris was brought up in London and lives in the states but there is an excellent Welsh tilt in his voice :)

Some positive news at least.

Time will tell, but there are questions that will clarification.

£20m direct investment into the club. How much of that is still needed to keep the club afloat and cover losses.

As the new set up have already had involvement in the club what do they think they can do differently knowing how many millions have been put in over the last couple of years to get us where we are.

Good signs will be contract negotiations and a positive January transfer period.

Glass slightly above half full at the moment.
That's the thing, all the money into the club and we are a state.....proves you can have as much money as you want but not having a plan or clue won't bring success.

Anyone with a decent plan and half the money and brain would have us in a better state as we are now.

They have been an absolute disaster.

Aye, Coleman has already proved to be ropey as hell , but that’s all for another day. The new regime will be judged on their performance. ‘Know better’ Levien and Hedge Fund Harry gone fishing is the most positive thing for us all.

Yes today is all about a bit of celebration that they will be gone.
We can say thanks for keeping the club going but so many wrong decisions can be pointed to the investment losses they made.
There was the comment that they will get a bonus payment of we return and stay in the Prem.
We won't know how much and if there is a time limit.
Will other paid only out of profit? as very few clubs make enough profit to pay out and improve the team.

So much detail that we won't be part to, but as you say they will be judged on their actions.

I’ve heard there’s far more financial clout behind the new ownership - dwarfing Levien and Kaplan’s wealth

Yeah but to be fair there's alot of mess to sort out too, due to the massive errors during Watson's time here. I reckon they'll be targetting next summer.

Fingers crossed this is good news, glad to see the back of Levern and Shirley but it's a shame Watson didn't fuck off with them, that guy is a gold plated douch bag.
