DeVries didn't really walk out on us. We obviously needed to upgrade for the Prem and we did. Can't blame him for not wanting to be a second choice.

Pratley had struggled for regular starts (for some reason behind both Gower and Orlandi) as the season had progressed so we can't really blame him for looking elsewhere either.

We'd have brought in a new #1 whether DeVries had stayed or not, and Pratley knew months in advance that Rodgers wasn't all that fussed.

Both made the only sensible decisions available to them.

I think we had something like £15m for him when we sold him. Decent money for him, would have represented a good profit.

In an interview when asked why he signed for Wolves, Dorus came out with the words to the effect of “wolves expect to stay up, Swansea hope to stay up”. How’d that work out for him
