• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

There's more than enough quality in that team to beat Cardiff.
There isn’t enough quality in the team to beat anyone that has a good day or wants it more or gets in our faces. As we don’t have the ability to break anyone down.
Cardiff are a poor team, but they have a couple of players that have some individual ability / creativity. They are quicker than we are as well.

Even a weak squad can look organised, interested, as if it's playing to a plan even if the quality isn't ultimately there. It needs a coach capable of doing that though, and we don't have one.

For all people want to blame ownership, it was Luke Williams who sent that team out there today, and against Hull, and against Portsmouth. He doesn't want to be here any more and the players know it.
Whilst watching on from the touchline and doing nowt to change anything about it.

That may be the case - he certainly seemed that way over the West Brom matter.

Who could blame him. Another transfer window where we’ve supposedly got everything lined up and three weeks in can’t even sign a Welsh player from Wycombe Wanderers.

Of course there is.

If we can't break teams down that is due to how we're set up and how they are instructed to play, that is due to the manager.

What's the excuse for him from August to December?

What could he have done? Who could he bring on that could possibly change the way the match was going? We could stop playing around at the back and move it forward, but to who? None of our forward players can create anything, beat anyone, or hold the ball up for more than two seconds. And we get caught out wide because we have two full backs that can’t tackle, are dreadful in the air and have the positional sense of a potato.

You do know who selects the tactics, picks formations and players and so on?

It wasn’t great. But we have been solidly mid table with an absolutely dreadful squad. Anyone that thinks players like Ronald, Eom, Tyson, Key, Vipotnik, Peart Harris etc etc etc have the ability to reach the playoffs is in cloud cuckoo land. If we had genuine quality around them it may be ok, but we don’t.

People need to stop hiding behind "we have a terrible squad" and start being honest with themselves.

The performance of the manager isn't good enough.

How about not instruct us to pass along back four, then winger, then repeat, other winger, lose ball and repeat?
