• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

Attacking possession based coach though. It seems just the sort of appointment we'd go for tbh...
5 years at Bolton, and only one play off final to show for it, doesnt seem so impressive though.
I'm not advocating him, as he's Martinbot but worse, but he did also take them out of League 2. Took them over in something like 20th place, so he's a good manager at that level, but I want well away

Has Luke made his farewell statement yet to the Jack Army? Not seen anything.
Didn't you know. Luke said he never goes on social media or anything and was devastated a few weeks ago when fans felt angered at him and the team 😂. But no, I haven't seen anything.

Got greatest hits. Love Seargent Rock, Making Plans and that period.
I prefer the later more pastoral and psychedelic stuff. The stuff they did from Skylarking (1986) until calling a day with the two Apple Venus LPs in early 2000s. They did some out and out 1960s psychedelic pastiche records as the 'Dukes of Stratosfear" as well. I like the earlier stuff too.

Just to say, I'm a great fan of music in surround sound (have quite a few in Dolby Atmos and Blu-ray generally). Prior to that I collected stuff on DVD audio and DTS surround. Of course, movies in Dolby Atmos and other surround types is the norm in this house. I found a source for music stuff in 5.1 and was able to get virtually all the XTC stuff in surround. My favourite of theirs? Peter Pumpkinhead. 🙂

I'm guessing Coleman isn't even considering anyone at the moment; he'll wait and see how Sheehan does first, just a hunch.
It would make sense to see if Sheehan can get some performances out of the team. Even if they see Sheehan as strictly temporary it would help to persuade people to come here if the players look a bit better than they did under Williams. I would be a sound reason to not rush things.

And if we lose more and they look worse?

I'm not really suggesting him but his record suggests he isn't as bad as some make out.
No he isn't. It's the nature of things that great players usually become average managers, and are then considered to be poor managers because of who they once were. Roy Kent has shown some good insights though.

But No, I also don't want Gerrard.
