• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

On here, that's right.
Although on here, I'm not the only one on here who knows the link.

If he gets the job, I suspect he won't, plenty will bring the link up with Watson.
I personally wouldn't hold that against him but if/when things turn sour then it will be brought up very quickly with some.

I just want to avoid all the issues we have seen in the last couple of seasons and fans to be United a bit more 🙈🤞

Far from it as history has proven with recent links with previous employees.

The Watson reign and legacy is up there with the biggest harm in recent seasons at the club! I would like to hear from anyone who thinks any different.

I'm not trying to cook up any deflection at all, I'm just trying to highlight possible issues.
so, in two posts within minutes of each other - you say 'I just want to avoid all the issues....' and then: 'I'm just trying to highlight possible issues'....

Which is it, daps ?

The fact is, the BIG issue was Martin-Williams and the twp silly-boy fans that fell for their shallow, shabby wide-boy spiel and nonsense bonkers footy

I can guarantee you now that if he gets the job full time the only person to reference a tedious link between him and Watson is you.

Stopping looking for something that doesn't exist.

I agree I can understand the euphoria after Saturdays result and it was an entertaining win but so was the Boxing day game against QPR and then the Luton win resulting in play offs talk only for it to go pear shaped as we know... we should not consider making him permanent until after the season finishes to see what he does over a long run but even then I'm not sure 12 games is really enough to assess suitability.

One swallow doesn't make a summer and let's hope the decision on who will be our next permanent manager is given every due diligence this next appointment is the most critical in recent times, there should be no room for sentiment or cheap options.
Huge appointment for the club and the owners coming up.

They've got more wrong than right over the last few seasons. This is a chance for the to buck that trend and prove they are capable of taking the club forward.

As I say, I am highlighting possible issues and I want to avoid them. Quite simple really 🙈

If you scan some of the insightful, itk posts on this thread you will see that our Club is actively engaged in proper, ambitious, next level succession planning.
Sheezy and the quorum passed their first test with flying colors some weeks back.......

You heard it here, first.

It does exist though! Watson was the one who pushed for his appointment.

I can guarantee you that there will be many people mentioning the links. If Sheehan gets the job permanently, people will be mentioning the links.

I will state as I have said, if he does well then I'm more than happy for him to get the job permanently.

I read it a while back from another poster on another post 👍
Let's hope that is the case.

You don't half over think things and go overboard with it.

Absolutely no one is bothered who brought Sheehan to the club.

You've also said plenty of times that he shouldn't get the gig, cos of his links with Watson.

Make your mind up, mun.

You seem to be all mixed up with internet chatter blurring your vision

(and the fact you are still attempting to equate Sheez-Watto with Martin-Willy-gate is daft as fack.)

There’ll be more that don’t though.
