Getting someone assessed is hard enough, getting a placement in a secure unit is really really difficult and mega expensive ( not that that would be an issue for the health board when he’s been put there by a Court). If there are MH issues then he may end up in the prison hospital wing.
I’ve never met the guy, but I feel sorry for him. He’s probably been a model citizen all his life, something has snapped and it’s all kicked off. He’s going to lose pretty much everything he’s ever worked hard for.
Yes, but I guess the big question on everyone's mind, is that should a prison be an overflow for MH patients? IMO most certainly not.

Although this is only second guessing, unless the full reasons for his incarceration are released. We will never know, although for me personally, I would feel pretty cheesed off, if someone suffering from MH issues, was put in prison, rather than a proper MH hospital, where hopefully he could get the care that is needed.

This is my opinion and I don’t give a toss what the rest of you fuckwits think but when you compare this to other crimes and the scum walking the streets why prison is inevitable is beyond me.
Amazed if he is jailed regardless of that article.

His good record and being highly thought of prior to this will surely result in a suspended sentence.

Agreed though, if he does go down then it's absolutely bonkers.

I don’t think I’ve ever agreed with one of your posts in 20 years.

Didn’t he attack someone with a spanner? In a school? Where there are kids? If so, I’m struggling to see why a custodial sentence of some sort wouldn’t be inappropriate. It should come with the appropriate mental health support as well of course. Which it will.

Yes no doubt your sort would think that but compared to other crimes like pedos getting off with their crimes and freely walking our streets it wouldn’t be inappropriate.
Thick twat.

"I suspect, Mr Felton, in the schoolyard, with a spanner."

The court heard of the “unique background” to the case. This is putting in mildly.

GBH with intent, on school premises, by a person of trust is only going one way.

Spot on.
Other crimes are irrelevant.
