Summer Transfer Window

Like others have said, it's good that we're not getting dragged into bidding ward for these players.
Would have loved O'Brien & Poku tbh, but paying over the odds would have been damaging.
We seem to be going about things the right way & no doubt there are other targets the club are looking at.
Hopefully more Burgess (under wraps) type deals on the way.

5m for O'Brien is walk away time. Forest bought him in a combo deal of 10m. Think it was him and Toffolo from Huddersfield.

If we guess that 7m(at most 8) was LOB and 3m was Toffolo then asking 5m for a player with 1 year left on his contract, who Forest deemed not good enough and loaned out here there and everywhere, is Forest taking the *&^. If they get 5m good for them but we need to walk away. Not to mention the wages.

Hoping we see some movement next week, it’s been a good window so far but would be nice to get Stamenic (if it is him) and a striker over the line before we go to Spain, although that’s probably unlikely. Sheehan will want the most players we can get in for pre season tour no doubt.
I would be comfortable going into pre season with Vipotnik,Yates,Cullen and Wales as the strikers.
My concern would be getting that holding midfielder in so we can get him integrated with players like Franco and Widell ready for the seasons start.

I would also like to see a bit of full back cover as we seem to be very low on defensive numbers
Key
Tymon
Cabango
Burgess
Santos
After these, we have young players like the Parkers boys and Lissah as the cover.

Think thats what most of us want. A Naughton type who can play RB/LB or center half. 2 x M/F a holding DM and an LOB type, and a new striker

I like Vipotnik and think he can improve but he’s not the pressing forward that Sheehan seemed to want to use last season. For me, Cullen is a 10 and Yates I think is half decent but it wouldn’t surprise me if the club move him on. Wales is young and shouldn’t have too much pressure put on him in his first season.

If we went into the season with those as our striker options, I would be concerned. We need one in and then Vipotnik can rotate and be back up for him

Agreed on midfielders and a striker.

I would like to see another centre half who can also play as a right or left back and then pick up an option to play full back on the side that's not covered.

Also, I don't see the concern on another winger given what we have and that Widell is capable of playing out wide also. Getting in a holder and all action type with Widell and Franco would be good to go.

I think the plan might be to move Vipotnik on and replace but I think there is a player in there and I think that player relies on confidence.

Reported on the other site that there will be far better coming in that poku....

We will wait and see.
Seems to be a lot of chatter about but Keith has been pretty spot on with things this summer. He seems to have a good connection/s.

Hull always been the high roulette club when it comes to transfer spending.

5M for LOB with a year on his contract Forest must be made up if this happens

I beg to differ that he would score more in a better team. His major problem imo is that he does not create opportunities with his movement (which is quite ponderous), his knack of going behind the defenders means any cross coming his way has a good chance of being cleared and even if it's not cleared he won't see the ball until very late and his reactions are not the quickest leading to missing what little chances he gets.
EXACTLY!!!!!

If they played yesterday, it leaves us with four options.

Anton Gaaei - Ajax fullback, played nearly 60 times for them, valued at 7m Euros. Can almost certainly rule out.

Oliver Prostgaard - Lazio centre-half; signed in February on a deal until 2029. Would maybe be a possible loan?

Thomas Thiesson Kristensen - Udinese centre-half; linked with Spurs, made 25 Serie A appearances last season. No chance.

Victor Bak Jansen - Left back playing for Midtjyland. Two years on his contract, but Danish League isn't a hugely expensive place to shop. Confident this is the one.
so is it prostgaard or jansen, someone said Phil may have said something about a Jansen

Is the Poku deal definitely dead in the water? Any reputable sources reporting the 900K or just Football League World?
I wonder if it's just the case he chose London being his ideal location over everything else. 900k is really nothing and Im suprised if we didn't at least try to get him. But maybe it just comes down to him wanting to be near home.

With reasonably low transfer fees, agents normally negotiate the wages upwards. I think we were prudent to keep our budget for positions of need.

This guy may turn out to be good, but the step up to the championship is a big one.
