Finding stats is quite difficult due to it being a pre season friendly :D
Could be sacked by September if he gets off to a poor start and Rodgers gives his side a good rodgering in their first meeting of the season

I don't follow Scotish football but I get the feeling from the comments on other sites that they are very much impatient. He won't get the time he did under us. Nor Southampton. Problem with Russ is, he will start throwing players under the bus and blaming the lack of players that suit his style. I give him to December.

He is unfortunately the definition of failing upwards. I know you could claim parity with Soton, and that the sweaties league is a bit pants, but each of his jobs has been a step up in terms of our current place in the greater scheme of things. He has generally left most of his clubs in the same position or worse position as he found them, which is some epic snakeoilery.

There isn't a single season he's had as a manager where you could say that he's overachieved. Where his teams have done better than expected. It's usually the opposite.

Finishes of 19th and 13th with MK, 15th and 10th with us. Squeaked the playoffs with a Southampton squad and budget that should have been fighting for an auto promotion place. Embarassed himself in the Prem. No doubt he's planning to have a couple of easy, successful years in Scotland to rehabilitate his reputation, a bit like Rodgers did when he first went to Celtic.

His problem is that he's nowhere near as good a coach and will probably damage his credibility even more.

Here's a team for Russ to further develop his theories and possession stats ; and actually that team is more entertaining than when he was with us 😂. Ps also love the dive at 21 secs !!

I’m sure he’s happy enough to pick up a payoff cheque every 18 months. Now that’s overachieving 😉
