Summer Transfer Window

Would be nice to free up a couple of places and some wages. If these two were to happen I think it would be the last remnants of that 2023 summer out the door apart from Tymon and Key.

I’d wish both Yates and Ginnelly well, just no place in the squad for either of them.

Explains why they didn’t go as expected, surprised clubs in for Ginnelly given his awful injury record.

Some players you just have a bad feeling about and you just wish you could get rid of them.

Others it just genuinely doesn't work out either due to a bad injury (Ginnelly's case), the manager doesn't fancy them (half of the EFL that ever played under Martin) or the player is just a poor fit for the manager's playstyle (Yates)

Sadly it looks like for both the writing is on the wall
No hard feeling about either and wish them the best

Unfortunately seems like he has an ongoing achilles problem.
Before his stay with us you would have looked at that and said "okay he had one bad injury but other than that hes only had 38 days out injured over 3 years which is less than 2 weeks per season on average"

Its easy to see why we took a punt on him

Yeah he had a good season with Hearts and I think Duff pushed for him as he knew him as a kid in Burnley.

Mentioned it a few weeks ago, but shall repeat the sentiment.

I know from a professional stance, it's objectively good that we prevent rumours/leaks from getting out the club, but from a fan's perspective, it is incredibly boring

Agree, I prefer when the club does things properly and professionally but I wouldn’t mind one or two nonsense stories just to have some noise going on in the background!

I think we're still one or two quality signings away from mounting a serious challenge this season, so I hope there is still a lot going on behind the scenes.
