He’s the archetypal copy and paste manager that belongs nowhere near the game. You certainly get the feeling this is only going to end one way. His style has never been a win-now style; the 'system' and 'process' are paramount, and that just seems like a really bad fit for Rangers (or Celtic) where the pressure to win every game is immense. Even when he had that Southampton squad in the Championship it was very rough going for a lot of the season. It just seems a bad fit for him up there - it's not somewhere you get a lot of time to build.
