Terry Christian, didn’t dig him in The Word, effin’ brilliant these days.
You’re too old to be saying things like “dig him”. Please stop. Agree though.Terry Christian, didn’t dig him in The Word, effin’ brilliant these days.
American talk shows really are a load of political guff these days.
They find John Oliver funny over there…that says it all.
The land of the first amendment and the free speech ultras. But only if you say stuff they like.

Putin and Corbyn tick an awful lot of the boxes in your 1st paragraph too. Would you class them as fascist as well?"Fascism is characterized by:
A dictatorial leader, centralized autocracy, militarism, forcible suppression of opposition, belief in a natural social hierarchy, subordination of individual interests for the perceived interest of the nation or race, and strong regimentation of society and the economy.
Opposed to communism, democracy, liberalism, pluralism, and socialism, fascism is at the far right of the traditional left–right spectrum."
It would seem to me that Mr Trump ticks an awful lot of those boxes.

I suppose Putin isn't your text book fascist, he just uses fear and control rather than a mass fascist movement.Putin does tick an awful lot of boxes and his rule of Russia could certainly be described as very akin to fascism.
Corbyn has never led a country, so that's a facile comparison. I also find it extremely hard to believe he would have been militaristic if he had got into power given his history and it's also hard to imagine him being on the far right of the political spectrum, given he's, you know, pretty far left?
You are correct Jack, Corbyn has never led a country. From statements that he has previously made, I just said that I believe that he ticks an awful lot (not all) of the boxes in your 1st paragraph.Putin does tick an awful lot of boxes and his rule of Russia could certainly be described as very akin to fascism.

It's very difficult to come to an usumption when there are so many words to describe a fascist in a post. Lots of people tick none of the boxes, lots some and hopefully none all of the boxes. Unfortunately the world that we live in likes to call people names if they might only tick 1 box.I suppose Putin isn't your text book fascist, he just uses fear and control rather than a mass fascist movement.
That's quite funny. It's very difficult to come to an usumption when there are so many words to describe a fascist in a post. Thanks SmurphThat's quite funny.
