• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler
    Owner, jackarmy.net

Two quotes from Rangers football forum , one prior to last nights match and one after….

“Cmon lads. March out of that tunnel with confidence in your ability, pride in wearing the jersey, forget any of your manager’s tactics and just play a great game of football.”

“We're a joke and this match would have been a relative formality for our previous managers including Beale. RM is a charlatan, a liar, a chancer. We've been conned.”

His time is up. All the comments could have been directly copied from this site at the end of his time here. Some of their fans who have watched Rangers since the sixties and now lost all love and interest for the club, all emotion gone, feeling numb.

Glad to say that Swans at the moment have reignited a spark that had been lost for me over the last few years, since Martin's appointment here. We are now on the up and entertaining football is back.

The one thing he is very good at is being an exceptional con man. You've got to hand it to Gers fans though, they sussed him out as early as pre-season.

It was even before that. By Russ’ own admission they didn’t want him there beforehand.

Hot off the press from my contacts in Glasgow 🔥 #exclusive.

Anything less than a convincing win at The Falkirk Stadium tomorrow sees Russell Martin sacked.

Heard it here first 😎
Lets hope they win 5 nil 😂

Didn’t something like that happen here? Owners put him on notice and he dropped his bullshit and we went on about 10 unbeaten, at which point he reverted to the process and we started losing again.

Mad thing is, he's the only person on this planet that doesn't understand his "process" doesn't work.

Honestly would put money on the Bairns getting at least a point tomorrow, probably all three, the buns are all over the place defensively (familiar).
Hopefully Cavenagh will give him another week 🙏
Either way, Russell Martin is a dead man walking 🧟‍♂️ #zombie

I suspect deep down he probably does, but his entire persona, his entire managerial status is tied into it so admitting as much will fuck his reputation up even more.

He can get sacked by Rangers and still plead the case that the players let him down, just as he did here, just as he did at Southampton and some lunatic club owner will probably fall for it.

His failure must be eating away at him inside.

If he can't guide Rangers to second place in the Scottish league with all that resource available, then surely this has to be the end of Russell Martin the manager.

I was thinking Lissah and Wilson may have something to do with Martin's future.

But looking at their games, Wilson came on as a sub for 20 minutes and scored the winner against Aberdeen at the end of August, hasn't been seen since. Is he injured?

I do wonder if his ego will let him accept that it’s anything to do with him. Most people I’ve met like that don’t have self doubt and it never eats away at them. Unless it’s just a fake front, in which case he’ll be dying inside, but I don’t think so.

Cognitive dissonance at it's finest.

I reckon him and the orange fella in the US would get on like a house on fire.
