S25/26 | The Official Match Thread | Swansea City 1 Leicester City 3 | Att: 16,601 | Saturday 4th Oct | The EFL Championship | The Swansea.com Stadium

I actually don't feel down after that. There was a lot to like in that performance, and plenty to work on of course (being in possession of the ball on the edge of the oppo box and the ball ending up back with a centre-half being one of them..)

We've got a decent squad, ambitious owners and some hope for the future. Marathon not a sprint etc.
Yeah strangely I feel the same. I get more upset when we perform bad against bang Average teams. Alot of over reactions as normal from everyone on here and other site. We showed too much respect in first half, and then energy was sucked out of the team when they came back. We are not there yet, we need to find more killer instinct.

Fuck off yu scum cunt, prompto.

Why hasn't this gimp been banned?
Just think what LaJolla could achieve in life if he put this much effort into work or life as a whole 😅😅. Never doubt his determination and dedication to trying to wind us up 😂😂😂

I don’t see many over-reactions from the Swans contingent on here.

9 games played, 3 wins, 3 draws, 3 defeats. Exactly the same record we had this time last season. Our squad definitely has more depth than we did this time last year but not convinced we're good enough to challenge for the top 6.
We look like a badly coached team to me, I lost count on the long aimless balls today, players making Renato Sanches passes into touch. It's hard to tell whether Sheehan's tactics are hindering the new players or they are just not good enough, time will tell. But it looks like another nothing season.

Is this LaJolla in disguise? 😅

Definitely been more disappointed leaving the ground after a couple of the draws this season.
Unbeaten home record was always going to end at some point, but we need to bounce back with a couple of wins at home soon though.

Despite their indifferent start I’d be very surprised if Leicester aren’t right up there at the end of the season - not that there was a huge amount between the sides today.

Hate going into the international breaks with a defeat - roll on Southampton away!!

This is why I disagreed with the people saying results are more important than performances. To me that game makes me more confident that we can do something this year rather than scraping by in midweek v Blackburn without creating much.

We are now 2 points off 18th but unlike the results crew I am not worried by that placing at all.

Positives

1) Burgess a monster in the box and is a huge set piece threat
2) Sheehan mixed up the starting team today and the set up worked for the most part. Everyone wanted him to be more proactive and he was.
3) Defensively organised and gave nothing away cheaply until the final 15 minutes.
4) The fullacks did well against two very good direct dribblers.

Negatives

1) Lack of good chances created from open play again. Reliance on Burgess from corners is very high right now. When Vipotnik does not get chances, he does not offer much else.
2) The equaliser sucker punched us and we struggled at the end, it happens in games and will happen over a long season so definitely just a nit pick.
3) Yalcouy and Widel were seen as the difference makers in more advanced areas going into the season and I am not sure what their role is now. Yalcouye has started to get less minutes and Widel is nowhere to be seen. Again, just a nit pick, but it is probably something we will need to solve with a transfer in January or the summer.

If anything it should have been a free kick for us. Their player followed through on Ben as he cleared the ball.
Yes it should have, but Ben reacted stupidly by giving their player a dig in the back. That not only cost us possession but 70 yards of territory while giving them a chance to put a dangerous ball into the box.

And even after that our game management was awful. Their second goal yes it was a world class strike, but he rode not one not two but three tackles to even get himself into the position to have that shot.

Its 4 points out of a possible 9, and i think the games are going to get harder, but we can improve , in fact to be top 6 we will have to, the game today is gone lets move on to the southampton game after the break
