How poor do we have to get?I think we will have to go on a poor run of results for him to go.

We are not less attacking, we are non existent as an attacking force. Is O’Dea telling him to be more defensive? I only say this because he seemed a lot more attacking at the end of last season
Just say it as i see it, as always. Are you happy with performances like today then? And there's been plenty of them in his tenure.Ah, that's a shame. You've been such a staunch supporter of Sheehan until today. Glad you gave it 10 games before writing him off at least.
As I said before no way these owners invest 20M to be happy with a mid table finish and under par performances, imo anyway.
People higher up can be brutal, and I think in my opinion is that Sheehan wasn’t really the guy they all wanted but have backed him and given him a chance, time will tell.I don’t think it’s realistic to ‘expect’ more than a mid table. We will have a chance to finish higher but investing in a single window in an undercooked side doesn’t automatically turn us into a playoff team. They will also know this.
If you go back a few months and the Sheehan poll, nobody wanted him for the top job. It was like 80% didn't fancy him, and what's unfolding is what we all feared, when the pressure is on, can he adapt, I'm willing to give him the next 10 games, because he's earnt it IMOPeople higher up can be brutal, and I think in my opinion is that Sheehan wasn’t really the guy they all wanted but have backed him and given him a chance, time will tell.
To put it into context. Harwood Bellis who played today cost that alone.People higher up can be brutal, and I think in my opinion is that Sheehan wasn’t really the guy they all wanted but have backed him and given him a chance, time will tell.
I actually agree with both points. But your last comment is something alot of people including me seem to forget. Sheehan was pretty much put in the role as he was getting a tune out of the players and with the toxic environment at the club at the time, they knew they had to in many ways appease the fans. Look how long it took them to decide and even they admitted they was keeping their options open. I like Sheehan and I want him to succeed, but go on a run of poor performances I'm talking ten games and not many results and performances get worse then he will be under pressure. But I also would like to think we are undercooked and need time under him. Who knows.People higher up can be brutal, and I think in my opinion is that Sheehan wasn’t really the guy they all wanted but have backed him and given him a chance, time will tell.

Don't argue that his record last season was excellent, but this season has been tedious. What was done in pre season to turn in a shocking performance at Middlesbrough on the opening day. Yesterday's performance was embarrassing, we had 9 touches in their box in 99 minutes of football (one every 11 mins), they had 41 touches in our box. If we were being served up this football under any of the previous 3 managers there would be uproar (and no, I'm not a Martin fan), particularly with the investment in the squad in the summer. There is zero attacking intent or idea going forward, we look like rabbits in the headlights. As i said , he's managed to suck all the optimism and enthusiasm out of fans in just 10 games. I will be over there Wednesday night , and if we play well and see some attacking intent i will praise him and the players, but I'm afraid that's been very rare so far this season. It's difficult enough to get people attending matches these days(particularly midweek with lots of football on) and this guys turgid football isn't helping matters. No, today was not good and an improvement in performances is needed. But you've been carping about Sheehan since the start of the season (which he was coming into with a fantastic record as Swans manager), so it's not like you ever gave him a chance.
There's been more good performances and results under Sheehan than bad and I would have thought more fans would show patience given the player turnover in the summer and some of the abject football we've seen under other managers in recent years.
I'm certainly not 100% in his corner, but the knives have been out from some even more ridiculously earlier than usual.
