Ah, that's a shame. You've been such a staunch supporter of Sheehan until today. Glad you gave it 10 games before writing him off at least.
Just say it as i see it, as always. Are you happy with performances like today then? And there's been plenty of them in his tenure.

As I said before no way these owners invest 20M to be happy with a mid table finish and under par performances, imo anyway.

I don’t think it’s realistic to ‘expect’ more than a mid table. We will have a chance to finish higher but investing in a single window in an undercooked side doesn’t automatically turn us into a playoff team. They will also know this.

People higher up can be brutal, and I think in my opinion is that Sheehan wasn’t really the guy they all wanted but have backed him and given him a chance, time will tell.

If you go back a few months and the Sheehan poll, nobody wanted him for the top job. It was like 80% didn't fancy him, and what's unfolding is what we all feared, when the pressure is on, can he adapt, I'm willing to give him the next 10 games, because he's earnt it IMO

If they're that brutal and didn't really want him they wouldn't have appointed him.

To put it into context. Harwood Bellis who played today cost that alone.

I actually agree with both points. But your last comment is something alot of people including me seem to forget. Sheehan was pretty much put in the role as he was getting a tune out of the players and with the toxic environment at the club at the time, they knew they had to in many ways appease the fans. Look how long it took them to decide and even they admitted they was keeping their options open. I like Sheehan and I want him to succeed, but go on a run of poor performances I'm talking ten games and not many results and performances get worse then he will be under pressure. But I also would like to think we are undercooked and need time under him. Who knows.

Obviously things can change quickly in football, but I don't think the owners hand Sheehan a 3 year contract in the summer if they're not pretty confident in him at the time.

No, today was not good and an improvement in performances is needed. But you've been carping about Sheehan since the start of the season (which he was coming into with a fantastic record as Swans manager), so it's not like you ever gave him a chance.

There's been more good performances and results under Sheehan than bad and I would have thought more fans would show patience given the player turnover in the summer and some of the abject football we've seen under other managers in recent years.

I'm certainly not 100% in his corner, but the knives have been out from some even more ridiculously earlier than usual.
