That’s fine. I’m the last person anyone wants to listen to 🤣

I’m struggling to get over the speed at which it unravelled. I honestly thought we’d turned a corner and would be ok if we could improve the attack. I think that’s down to the players, but hopefully I’m wrong and someone else can get 15 goals a season out of Eom, Ronald and Cullen.
Completely disagree. If we were creating loads a game and not scoring id agree with you, but there's no way on earth that this forward line is the second worst in the champ over the last 5 years (statistically).

There are two things that make we think we have.

Firstly, I don’t believe we were going to sack Sheehan on Sunday / yesterday. The local journalists had obviously been fed that info. All of them said the same.

Today we have. That makes me think something has changed. And what may have changed is the availability / acceptance of someone else.

Secondly, we haven’t mentioned an interim and interestingly, I don’t think we’ve mentioned any one else going. That also makes me think we may have someone lined up. That’s not to say others won’t go but it’s odd it hasn’t been mentioned unless I’ve missed it? Definitely haven’t mentioned an interim manager.
After Saturday Sheehan was going make no mistake, journalists haven’t got a clue what’s happening most of the time just like some of the ITK on here, pretty certain there’ll be no interim, no messing around this time.

The journalists close to the club are getting their info from the club. They are providing the line that the club want to be public which is not necessarily what is actually happening but in this case, for whatever reason, yesterday the club was saying he was staying.

My guess is that either something has changed / become available that was not confirmed previously, or the club have taken account of reaction to the public statements that he wasn’t going. Better that it’s the former as swaying to fans’ opinion is never sensible.

I believe they had no intention of him leaving last week and the result jolted them into action. They would have had to talk out such a sudden change, properly assess some options available and reach out to them and also have the meeting with all the relevant staff and owners to make this call. The fact it took forty eight hours should not be surprising and neither should the fact they were unwilling to tell the press any of this until they settled on a decision, which may not have been until yesterday.

C’mon, I thought you had a bit more about you than that, he was going after Saturday whatever was being said and as far as the press go…yeah ok.

Well I’m telling you that they get their info from the club..
If you want to believe they are sitting there speculating like some social media accounts, carry on.

Aye and have you read their behind the scenes reveal tonight, really insightful, anyone on here could have written it.

I didn’t say they were necessarily any good, just that they are getting info from the club.

Having said that, Coleman’s piece in the WOL was perfectly reasonable in my view.

You’re in business aren’t you?..yes..well you know how it works, of course they weren’t going to say to some hack.. here’s an exclusive for you…we’re sacking the manager.

Agree on all of that and hope you’re correct.

Big business isn’t the same as football. Largely because you legally can’t leak in the way that a club leaks info because it’s market sensitive information requiring an RNS and anyone knowing anything in advance will be prosecuted if they make it public.

Think of it more like the government leaking info before it happens. Sometimes it’s to test the water, other times it’s to send a signal. Sometime they leak something because they don’t want things to get out while there are negotiations going on in the background, or where they’re waiting for confirmation of something before making a decision.

They chose to put out that they were minded to keep him rather than leak that his position was under immediate threat or alternatively that there’d been ‘no word from the club on their reaction to events’.

As I’ve said, there are a couple of reasons that could account for that. But the line being fed was because that’s the line the club wanted to be fed.

Anyway, why don’t we just wait and see what happens next as this really doesn’t matter.

Last word from me, so what you’re saying is that some very wealthy businessmen who run very, very big businesses can’t apply the same principle to a football club just because legally they don’t have to…ok.

As you say let’s wait and see but no interim and no messing around ok…I’m never wrong honestly.

I wasn’t saying that at all.

And I’ve already commented on the fact that no interim has been named.

I’ve my own thoughts on what I think they’ll be trying for but the club trying something and it happening are two different things.

I feel for Sheehan, such a decent guy, I noticed Darran hasn't posted "f*ck him" so he's obviously in his good books
