Hopefully Matos commits to playing Inoussa and trying his best to make it work. It seems like the departing coaching staff began to lose faith in him a little. Us improving this season feels like it relies on him becoming a good Championship wide player fairly quickly and the only way that happens is with consecutive starts and trust.

Cullen over Widell, Eom over Inoussa and Idah over Vipotnik are all poor decision imo

Someone had to give way for Stamenic and Galbraith has too high a ceiling to be the sacrificial lamb. As a result not too surprised in Franco dropping to the bench but the other three are the wrong choices in my eyes.
What have widell and inoussa done so far this season to warrant it being a poor decision 🤷‍♂️

I would call Franco, Widell, Inoussa, Vipotnik and Yalcouye all on the bench a bit of a surprise.
Stamanic for Franco not a big surprise for me
3 others on the fringe lately but as others have said he’s gone safe
Idah for Vipotnik maybe due to international travel?
His one game so not gone adventurous

Looking like a Sheehan let's get a point with no shots from us selection again.

I agree though not playing Stemenic and Franco together is probably a good thing although playing Stemenic who has travelled across the world this week is preferred to Franco who is fully rested and has goal in him

Widell has offered energy and attacking ideas, he also is the only player in the whole squad remotely capable of playing as a central attacking midfielder. Him being constantly shunted out on the wing was almost as criminal as the days of Williams playing Abdulai as a winger when he was a central defensive midfielder by trade.

Inoussa offers trickery and pace, but he needs playing time to get used to the league and to gain confidence, having an attacking midfielder who can link the midfield to the attack and help thread in balls behind defenders for him to run onto without instead having to compete for a ball dropping out of high orbit or waiting six passes to receive the ball with his back to goal and two defenders so far up his arse it looks like an audition for pornhub will also do wonders for him.

Long term you maybe right on widell but your basing this attacking central midfielder theory on what hes done at his previous club rather than any evidence in the championship because as you rightly says he been put on the wing.

My opinion is Eom looks more of a threat and with his confidence starting to return has a goal in him (unlike inoussa currently)

None of the 4 players mentioned are playing well, we are clutching at straws but I still struggle with the assumption that the caretaker is making poor selection decisions.

With the celtic connection I always thought Idah would get the nod. He needs to step upbig time as Vipotnik looms large on the bench.
