I can see a few punters waiting for Grimes to get splinters on the bench or be left behind if Coventry win promotion, for the satisfaction of saying they knew our captain ex was not up to standard.

Sad.

If Coventry get promoted I will be happy for Matt. If he plays regularly in the Prem, and Coventry stay up, even better.

HAPPY.

clapper.

It's not sad.

It's literally what being a football fan is all about. Harbouring petty grudges and never forgiving or forgetting.

I still haven't forgiven Leeds for filing a bogus appeal just to stop us lifting the league one trophy in 2008 at home. I'll probably still be bitter about it in 20 years time.

If you're not being petty, pathetic and small minded about other clubs and players you ain't doing it properly.

It's Andy Robinson for me.

Glad we called his bluff when he tried to hold out signing a new deal with us waiting to see what division Leeds would be in the following season.

I never had strong feelings about Leeds either way before that season. I’ve hated them ever since. That 3-2 win at Christmas 2007 in the rain is one of my favourite games of all time.

TEN MEN. WE INLY HAD TEN MEN.

Celebrating promotion in Gillingham and the players behind an official EFL "We're going up" banner.
Next day the EFL couldn't confirm our promotion because of Leeds' appeal. The table published in Leeds' programme all season gave them the 15 points back.
We finished 16 points ahead of them which was sweet.

Same here. Couldn't have cared less about them beforehand, but I remember them giving it the billy big bollocks in the build up to the game down here, their fans continued to throughout the match as well. The appeal thing put the tin hat on it for me though. One of the most spiteful things I've ever witnessed in football. They knew they had no chance of winning it, it was purely to stop us having a memorable day in front of our own fans. It could be decades before we get the chance again.

Happy Matt is doing well. Shows what he can do and how he was wasted here. His game against Man City was briliant. No longer here. Russell Martin though I shall hold my quill.

There are loads of players who have left the team I support who I have wished well thanks to what they did in their time wearing a Swansea shirt. From relatively short stays like Borini, slightly longer stays like Guehi, to long term Swans like Britton or Rangel.

I don't bother concerning myself about players who were very middle of the road performers who while not terrible, were hardly stand-out performers either. Each to their own, but it's a bit weird to me to pine after someone who clearly could have been a better player for us if they could be bothered.

Well you say he was wasted down here - why? He didn’t bust a gut nor did he lead the team whilst captain. He must have fooled you too with his hiding between the centre halves bullshit. He was well paid down here yet he couldnt be arsed. As a fan of the club since 1977 I find that very hard to accept and we shouldn’t accept players putting our shirt on and basically shitting out of everything.

I understand where you’re coming from but what doesn’t make sense is that he was ever present selection for every manager. If he was shitting out of everything all the time why wasn’t he dropped? Was he basically doing the job that every manager asked him to do?

I've never forgiven Joe Jordan tbh
