Mr Mercedes is our current binge. If a series can be disturbing and entertaining I think they have achieved their objective.

Overview
A psychopath killer steals a Mercedes and runs over 16 people attending a local job fair. However, a retired detective tries to bring down the culprit.

No spoilers for traitors 🤣

But without giving anything away

Bit embarrassing from Amanda. Proving she was crap at her job in front of a few million.
Fiona chucks her chances into a skip fire.
Barking programme.

Watched I Swear earlier on this week, really enjoyed.

It’s very well done, my expectations before I watched were just to hear some untimely language, but it’s a lot more than that! Based on a true story about John Davidson and his life living with Tourette’s. After it finished, I just sat thinking, how much it had affected John Davidsons life.

A must watch. 👍

Someone I know very well has Tourette’s. It can be a massively debilitating and life changing condition. I haven’t seen this film yet but I’m glad it shines a light on the condition and its impacts. It’s very much misunderstood, including by me before it affected someone I know.

The Lewis Capaldi documentary is brilliant and illuminating as well. Netflix I think.

There’s been a few documentaries on the subject over the years, and whilst it is initially funny in a childish way, sorry but it is, the reality of living with it must be horrendous. I remember one of the shows where the son had it, then years later his mother ‘developed’ the condition as well.

You’re right, there’s no doubt that on the surface it’s funny. That’s how I thought of it for years and years. Random and inappropriate swearing basically. And I don’t care what anyone says, that’s funny. But as we now know it’s so much more than that. The person I know with it is in their late 20s now and while they always had it (and that only becomes clear with hindsight) it didn’t fully develop until they were in their mid to late teens. And the impact on that person’s life since then has been astonishing in how significant it’s been. It’s a real eye opener.
