It was random!

Watching away and I shouted that’s Three Cliffs just before it came up on the screen!

I’m enjoying it. Obviously Tom Hollander wasnt going to be in it, but I assumed Olivia Coleman would be. Perhaps she’ll make an appearance later. I agree that it’s not up to the first at the moment though which was outstandingly good.
I watched the first episode again with subtitles. Makes much more sense to me now. Didn’t realise how little I took in first time relying on my ears 🙄

I don’t think it’s woke for a woman to say in response to someone suggesting that she had something with Hugo that it was bloody unlikely since she was gay.

I mean having people on the show who are gay or from a different ethnicity isn’t ‘woke’. It is simply a reflection of society surely?
A reflection of society is relative. How many of the 22 are gay or how many ethnic minorities are there?

Or does it reflect the society that the BBC thinks exists?

TBF I'm enjoying it and want to know who the secret traitor is!!

BBC have been banging on about Amandaland , a must watch Xmas Special on the horizon .

So Joanna Lumley and Jennifer Saunders , both magnificent artists at the helm lets have a look at past episodes in the run up the big unveiling on tlele .

Probably akin to Miranda as a nice girlie watch with no issues to get upset about .

A decent watch over the first series , and maybe will look in at a later date if a second series is commisioned .

Yes. I agree. I wasn't referring to that.

Never watched the series but your comment made me wonder... Could you please define "woke" for me, Thanks

I'll give an example.

Some years ago a close acquaintance worked on the production of a BBC programme in which prizes were awarded for a competition.

Entries were judged and the winners (first, second, third) contacted and sent their prizes.

However, before the programme was broadcast the BBC governors objected to a lack of diversity among the winners.

The episode had to be reshot and (as the prizes had been sent) a new prize had to be added to the prize pot and an "appropriate" winner found.

I can see both sides there, had the fourth prize winner been black or Asian or Hispanic or in a wheelchair or whatever, but in fact they were just from a different part of Britain to the others.

I'd consider that woke.

For a dictionary definition you'll have to check in a dictionary.

You seem to have assumed that I used "woke" pejoratively. I didn't. At least that wasn't my intention.

I don’t know why you bother Squarey.
I rarely post on the football board anymore because of the experts knowing more than Pep and this board is going the same way for me,oh and the total lack of humour from some is pathetic.

So this is gonna sound weird but there must be some sound effect in The Traitors that we can’t hear but dogs can because every time it comes on our dog gets well stressed by it. It happened on
Saturday and again tonight. He was fast asleep and as soon as this started at 8pm he sat bolt upright and been on edge ever since. Well weird.

Got good taste, that dog.

Perfect excuse to watch something decent instead of.
