The fact is that we are still not out of luck with a chance at making a charge towards the play off spots
So many teams right now are consistently inconsistent at the top
I wouldn't say that its impossible as we have rarely looked out of a game under Matos
That winger with some pace and goals in him can make a huge difference.

We are only 3 players short of being a promotion chasing team. Right back, right winger and No.10.

Early days yet, but Matos is looking a very good appointment. I am actually enjoying watching us play now.

Agree totally
It would mean that Galbraith / Ward / Key would need to be more defensively tuned in as such a winger is unlikely to offer as much defensive cover as Ronald does, but this game alone we could/should have scored at least another couple with the opportunities we had on the right hand side

Delighted with the three points but even after going to Specsavers I’m not seeing what some of you are.
Total lack of any control or structure to our game even an awful and badly depleted Blackburn had us on the back foot at times.

One thing is certain, any semblance of the Swansea way has now gone, some of you might be enjoying what you’re watching but for me it’s just Helter Skelter football with players charging around the pitch, it may bring results but it’s not for me.

In terms of right back I feel like Ward is getting up to speed, he looked comfortable tonight with the 20-odd minutes he played

I am being greedy with right back, but we badly need a right winger and a no.10. We need more goals outside of Viptopnik.

I agree that from 25 minutes on it was helta skelter.
Just out of interest, in your opinion, who was the last manager that played the Swansea Way?

Turn it in, has anybody ever seen you and nocountryforoldjack in the same room together ?

I know we haven't got Idah available but I don't want to see Cullen as a lone striker at ny point tonight.

Will be interesting if Widdel and Franco have recovered enough from Saturday.
Got to give Bobby Wales a go if Vipotnik comes off surely - especially if we are 2 or 3 up
Important win for us.. not sure if Blackburn were out on their feet but I thought Cooper and Cullen looked more of a threat that Widdel and Eom defensively and offensively.

Yalcouye looked a bit lost when he came on and Fulton steadied the ship well

We really lack that CM who can control a game creatively and physically but we have lot of lightweight terriers pressing.
I thought Widdell had a brilliant game - far more influence than those two had.

3 points is the most important tonight.

On Saturday I posted it was frustrating as we could have won.
Tonight I'm more frustrated with our game management in the last 10-15 minutes when Blackburn had two clear chances to score.
I can't see us making a play off push as we need some players to achieve that and I don't think we'll get them.
As far as relegation, I think we'd have enough about us to get to over 50 points.
so taking each game at a time I just want to see steady progress.
maybe that's writing this season off, but it's all about creating a style of play that players are comfortable with.
At the moment we can't do it for a full game, and substitutions are weakening the performance.
