• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

I said it on Tuesday. If players can't be motivated by Snoop and the buzz around the club I have little hope. Sadly they didn't and was awful. Love what Matos has done and I still think there are good playwrs in our team, but maybe some clear out in the summer.

We fall into the trap of accommodating him and Stamenic in the same team by having him in right back which is not his most effective position
I think he's ideal to play alongside Stamenic in midfield.

Stam does the donkey work and just gives the ball to Ethan to carry forward.

Got to ask why we signed Ward if we're going to play a midfielder at right back instead of him

Because he’s a cover RB and cover CB, where as Ethan is an actual RB as confirmed by his appearances there.

I haven’t seen any of it, but if it’s the same pattern as the last few performances then I think it’s down to tiredness. We play a pretty high intensity game as someone showed earlier in this thread through McKenna’s comments about us. It’s taking a toll. Also means we’re all or nothing, we’ve only draw one or two in nearly twenty games since Matos came in and today looks like a nothing rather than an all. Factor in that there’s no Vip on the pitch and the weaknesses we know we have and it’s a good idea to look ahead to Stoke at home next weekend.
So what are the consequences long-term if that is the case? i.e. the fundamentals of the coaches style of play doesn't work over a prolonged period of time? I'm not saying that is the case, but the logical conclusion of that point of discussion isn't' good, is it?

In which case you are not running one of Yalcouye or Widell. Same problem, four midfielders and only three spots

And that’s not counting Walta

Dreadful to watch and the only thing that makes it worse is the dreadful commentary provided by Swans TV

Oh wait we have Jacks at home coming up - stale shit. Not every game can be a circus...

I don't do Jack's at home as its via X which I refuse to sign up to

Ipswich are obviously a much better team but it is baffling to see our best midfielder constantly being played at RB, especially as we saw the difference he made when he moved into midfield for the second half on Tuesday.

There are two RBs on the bench, play one of them and put Galbraith back in the middle where he can control the game
Control the game? We rarely control any game away from home. We are abysmal away , and most teams are guaranteed 3 points against us.
