At some point we have have much more than just “ he’s good at closing players down”. I love Matos but I’m hoping he’s not developing a blind spot over Ronald in particular. It’s not a great signal to the squad if you consistently pick an out of form player. I’d much rather see Bianchini have a run in the side.
I'm hoping the his overuse of Ronald is due to having no better option. The summer should tell us which way were going.

Decent squad player, can't rely on him week in week out.

Agree, we are where we should be under Matos.

Mid table budget, mid table squad value and in his 18 games he has us performing around 10th. We have no right to be going away from home and beating teams like Ipswich. It’s possible, but anyone who expects it is having a giraffe.

To put them in perspective, the money they want for their left back alone, is DOUBLE the amount that our entire starting 11 cost us, and he’s probably not their best player.
Now we have a decent manager will the board decide to back him properly in the summer rather than just get some up and coming prospects who may or may not work out? I’m proposing this in the light of the significant sponsorship deals that we have no real evidence of yet.

Agree. Like Cullen or Eom a good option on the bench but having higher standard players playing week in week out. This summer is going to be interesting.

Definitely, we could say that for a lot of the squad, I'm still no fussed on Cubango and Burgess as a pairing.

If we are looking to challenge, then squad depth is going to be important.

Defending leads with the clock ticking down is ideal for players like Ronald to come on and work his nuts off.

I think everyone has been backed properly. We will always be a club that needs to trade to thrive, I highly doubt we will be dropping the millions required on prime aged no risk Championship players.

My biggest take is how, like you mentioned, we look like both literally in every way we are going backwards. There is glimpses of nice play and what Matos wants. But maybe, just maybe it's individual players not up to this challenge long term? Eom, Ronald, Cullen? I think alot of the issues nearly in every game has come from RB. Get that fixed and it will solve some of our issues... Some..
I think it may be because key players are knackered. Matos needs to do a lot of work on fitness when the season ends. We need to be able to maintain a high press when it is appropriate, and we need to be able to cope with other teams doing the same. Ipswich and Bristol City both did that and we could barely string two passes together against them.

We are crying out for some creativity in MF. Galbraith has loads of talent but is he a playmaker? Either way I agree, he is wasted at RB, we need to get that position sorted.

Disappointing performance result , the second goal just before half time made a comeback difficult ,
What was Josh Tymon doing for the 3rd goal
Not surprised with the result difficult place to go Portman Road with a team going well .

What about that free kick from Vp nearly another special wow .

Talking of blind spots, I’m the opposite with Ronald McDonald. I can’t take my eyes off him, but not in a good way.
He gets me so wound up with his ineptitude to actually beat a player, cross the ball to a player with the same colour shirt, hits the ball straight at the player marking him, plus his diving,(not so much since Matos) which would make Tom Daly blush, you get the picture I’m trying to paint
Honestly, wtf does he do to warrant so much game time ?

Lack of depth in the squad.

Not worth getting that wound up after all it's only a game.
