• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

Oh I forgot your great family connections gave you the greatest footballing knowledge the world has ever seen. Shame you never give us your insights when we win.
It's not hard to point out that our two multi million pound CBs can't pass better than someone down the park oh super fan.. where were you circa 1997 in a 300 crowd against west end oh super fan.. I'll post what I want, even if a few have attempted to bully me off here

Eom 3 goals , 2 assists 37 matches (28 starts) Ronald 2 goals , 7 assists 46 games .
Don't you dare point out the obvious mate, it'll confuse the f*ck out of them and they'll go all super fan version 2.0 point scoring teenagers

Post when you want mate, crack on I don’t care. I usually get a good laugh out of it. It’s just strange you only want to post when we lose

I haven't posted since January on a match day thread

So Eom , at this moment, has 4 goals and 3 assists in nearly 2 seasons, with Ronald ( much maligned) slightly better than him.
Matos clearly is a fan of Ronald as he closes players down. Well Eom does to some respect. Wonder if come the summer though its a different picture.

This season we've scored 1 goal or less in 23 (twenty-three) of the 35 games that we've played. That's simply unacceptable.

Agreed, unacceptable. It’s fewer, not less. And binary…

I remember Arsenal winning the league 1-0. I suppose they didn’t have Bango, Burge and Braith in their back 4.

Only Sheffield Wednesday has scored fewer away goals than us.
Them only scoring 2 less goals then us just shows truly how awful we are away from home. We shouldn't be this bad regardless what people think of our team.

Bang average team loses away to one of the best teams in the league. It is what it is at the moment.

Agree, we are where we should be under Matos.

Mid table budget, mid table squad value and in his 18 games he has us performing around 10th. We have no right to be going away from home and beating teams like Ipswich. It’s possible, but anyone who expects it is having a giraffe.

To put them in perspective, the money they want for their left back alone, is DOUBLE the amount that our entire starting 11 cost us, and he’s probably not their best player.

At some point we have have much more than just “ he’s good at closing players down”. I love Matos but I’m hoping he’s not developing a blind spot over Ronald in particular. It’s not a great signal to the squad if you consistently pick an out of form player. I’d much rather see Bianchini have a run in the side.

I'm hoping the his overuse of Ronald is due to having no better option. The summer should tell us which way were going.

Decent squad player, can't rely on him week in week out.

Now we have a decent manager will the board decide to back him properly in the summer rather than just get some up and coming prospects who may or may not work out? I’m proposing this in the light of the significant sponsorship deals that we have no real evidence of yet.
