Let’s just say there is a vested interest from 1 or 2 to be negative. Axes to grind, lemons to be sucked. I gather it may make sense to everyone soon..

In the meantime, the real ones will keep supporting OUR club.

Someone working for the club would have more of a vested in portraying everything the club/ recruitment team does as a positive than fans talking on a forum (for whom there wouldn't actually be any vested interest).

Surely people understand we're buying potential and not the finished article for the majority of signings.

The exception to the rule in the summer was Burgess.

For what we've paid for some of these signings we are entitled to have expected more by now though.

These aren't 750k punts but some have played as such since joining.

I don’t think there needs to be anyone working for the club to make an accurate assessment on the direction of travel, it’s easy to see unless you refuse to for whatever reason you choose.

You have no idea how much was paid, you are guessing. You are also guessing on their development arc, which is pretty stupid really isn’t it considering you have no idea about either of those things.

Will always be the same. Matos was slated before he even joined, now he’s getting slated because we lost away to Ipswich.

Attacking a football club is easy because even the path to success is full of ups and downs, they stay silent in the ups and lay in wait for the downs. If they get bored or impatient, they change the grey areas into the downs too, just to get their fill.

Same with the club signing players. The nature of it means some won’t make it, but as long as the building blocks of the squad keep getting built and player trading keeps the club with regular income to keep funding each window then that’s the golden ticket that all clubs seek, but they will always focus on the negative because some players not working out is a guarantee.

The reasons why some do it will blow people’s minds (and reputations), others with their motives are far more obvious and predictable.

If you're just a mere fan, you wouldn't either. By this logic, some of these players could have hit their ceiling already?

Unless you're working for the club and then you'd have more insight into their 'arcs'. It would explain the seemingly blind faith being put in some of these players.....

I’m not the one making conclusions on players in their first season in the country in their early 20’s, I leave that to the experts, as should you.
