Couldn't agree more, Dillwyn, how he managed to remain on the pitch today is beyond me.

The other day I mentioned him being a decent squad player. We need to move him on in the summer.
My fear is and it's the case with 99% of managers that Matos has blind spot for Ronald. I don't that's the case with Eom as he seems to take him off or leave him out more often. Ronald has potential but just doesn't deliver anything. Get rid in summer.

Their front three's movement was a different world to ours. Ronald and Eom wouldn't get into Coventry's match day squad and they were without their best forward.
Desperately need an upgrade on the flanks.
When are going to give Walta some game time? He needs to get a feel for the physicality and speed of this league before next season.

Should have got you on the blower all things considered.

We'd be champions of Europe in no time
They already have, in fact to coach youngsters to not do what Eom was doing

I don't know about Europe, but having an IQ score of a genius like Lampard and Guardiola you do tend to "know" certain things like.. it's not a formality, because football depends on variables.. but it's pointless talking to a sell out, because you're all about as useful as Cabango's third leg

Be surprised if we sold 2 of the 3 wingers we currently own (I guess you could count those out on loan too in fairness) but I agree that if they’re both starting 40+ games again next year we’re very unlikely to make the playoffs.

Starting centre half and right back follows on from at least one starting winger on my shopping list too 👍
Don’t get me started with Ronald McDonald. One of the worst players to put on the White shirt.
Honesty, wtf is it with Matos and Ronald?

I don't think he's got potential. He's 24 and now in his second full season with us and is crap.

Before today the impression I had was that Matos played him because of the fact we're limited in terms of wide players in the squad.

Fantastic, Skippy is taking us on a European tour, an European tour.

A strange game, much the better side for the first 45 minutes and could easily have been 3-0 up, a questionable penalty decision and failing to clear the ball on 2 occasions and we’re 3-0 down.

Valid points. I always got impression Ronald was very much a Matos favourite. For whatever reason. We know Franco is, but Franco has and does do everything that Matos requires from a player. Your right about selection. When you look at it like that then its clear why he is playing him. But no doubt for me we need to get rid.

Yep, miles apart. They were better all over the pitch really, but their front 3 is where there’s a massive difference.

There’s no point worrying too much about that one. It wasn’t from lack of effort - we were lively and made it difficult for them for 20 mins. But after that they were miles better. It was always going to be tough, but at least is shows us the level we need to get to if we want to challenge at the top.

It's hard to look at that today and think we are anywhere near a side with a realistic prospect of going up any time soon.

We still need a couple of wingers, a number 10 and at least one good centre back.
I would take a less glamour player in one called Ronnie From Pandy over Ronald at moment. 😂.

I’ve assumed he’s in there for his energy. He does get back too, even if he causes chaos. Watching him trying to play is painful though. Eom’s not much better but for different reasons. If you could take the best bits of both we’d have a decent player. Although he still wouldn’t be able to score 🤣

Haven’t seen any of it today so keep that in mind.

A lot of the criticism I’m seeing is about missed chances and the CB partnership which I think are things we’ve known for a while now. We know we aren’t clinical when it matters and that something isn’t quite right defensively so we just have to wait and see if all that gets addressed in the summer. I feel like Matos will know the areas to recruit for and hopefully we can come into next season a more well rounded outfit.

As for Grimes, he was always a fantastic midfielder at this level and it’s a real shame that we lost him after 10 years, that really shouldn’t be happening but there was clearly a lot of upheaval at the time. He is a huge miss for us though.
