I can understand why Parker hasn't been given a chance, he needs a loan similar to Lissah.

Matos is not dull, he will know the issues and this might be the scenario with Walta? Be that his levels or fitness but I find it strange given how the game was going that Walta wasn't brought on.
I think I read Walta and Burgess did the most travel this international window. I might be wrong. Personally I would be picking him over Yalcouye. I like Yalcouye, and there is something there, vut he is a loan player and gets caught out to much.

It’s a strange one but he’s had no pre season at all has he, came to us after not playing in 3 months. He apparently looked excellent on international duty last week in both matches though. My feeling is he was one done for the summer but you have to imagine he will feature a bit between now and end of season.
He was man of the match in an international mid week. Non Match fit my arse and certainly won't get there sitting on the bench.

If he's being kept til next yeat then he needs 6 months to acclimatise. Makes no sense

This thread is a thoroughly enjoyable read. :ROFLMAO:

Also, lalolla called the game spot on. In so many ways. Fair play.

I’m sure we’re all delighted that we’ve taken a point today but you can’t overlook the fact that we almost give teams the game away from home.
Like I said in an earlier post, we’ve been in the vast majority of away games this season our undoing is our dreadful defending and our inability to put away gilt edge chances.

Vips record away from home isn’t great he’s the leading scorer in the division but has been guilty of missing several guilt edged chances that would have completely changed the complexion and possibly the results of several games.
Undoubtedly there will be interest in him in the summer ( new contract or not ) but I don’t see that coming from a Premiership team,

Oh go away man.

Not sure about a fluke result? Almost double XG, more shots on target, more of the ball.

The eye test told me that it was pretty even throughout, with both teams having 10-15 minute periods when they were on top.

we had 7x > xG for a long spell in the 1st half, with >25% possession - men vs boys, in so many ways

we are building something special, the Big Bucks Blades is the antithesis

Nah we didn't have any of this, and Sheffield Utd were definitely on top for most of the game

The stats are the stats. Not really about opinions, albeit it’s up to you how much notice you take of them as it’s fair to say that only the result matters in reality.

Think we’ll agree to disagree on the eye test part. I thought we were better for most of the opening 25 mins and definitely dominated the last 20.
