Excellent performance with a few shaky minutes at the end. Very encouraging towards next season, especially considering the fact that EG is out and Stamenic was on the bench. The jury is out on Idah and Walta (doesn’t have the physicality needed at this level yet), but both deserves to be judged next season. COYS.
Thought Walta really grew into the game. Defo potential of a excellent player in my eyes.

I agree he started to pull the strings before he came off

Better in the second half at keeping the ball and creating and it’s not often we’ve seen that.

The first 15 of the second half was as good as we’ve played in a while.

Walta has great vision - we really need to start seeing more of him.

Never a penalty but we’re due one.

Would have left on Walta and Parker to be honest - assume they’re doing it from medical info in real time. But need to start Walta every game in preparation for next season.

Always good to win up at QPR. Which we’ve done a lot over the year. Good ground for us.

And I see no reason why Parker can’t be our long term right back after the last few games. Really done well.
Totally agree and Walta is not afraid of having a pop at goal either which we certainly need to see more of from our front players.

On any other day we might have scored at least another 2. The dodgy pen makes up for Cook going down as if shot at home and that red card so a form of Karma there for the R’s!

Agree on Parker. Seems all the more strange that there’s been such a reluctance to play him over the last 12-18 months - especially when Key was struggling.

I just assumed they felt he was miles off playing regularly at this level, but he’s played against some decent sides/wingers on paper (before tonight) so I see no point in signing a right back if we’re keeping him & Lissah next season.

Many have gone out of way over last few days to question Widell. Not sure why. He was immense today. Also I am liking what Walta is starting to show. We are really spoilt with choice with midfield with Galbraith coming back. Franco was excellent as well.
Needs a goal. Will explode then.

Given qpr looked like they were on the beach , Widell, Walta and Ronald had a great game, also Parker looked more confident and did well. Great pass from Fulton gor the first goal, and great vision by the ref for the 2nd 😀

Sell Galbraith and use funds for a right winger and centre half?

Surely got midfield sorted?

I only got home I time to see the second half and from what I saw we were playing really well. We’re a joy to watch when we play with that intensity. If we can find a way (or couple of new players) to create more, things are starting to look up.

Parker has carried quite a few injuries in the last 18 months if the club are treating him with kid gloves i am in total agreement
Fair point on the injuries, but there’s a difference between looking after a young player and getting 0 minutes for most of the season.

Don’t get me wrong I’m delighted with how well he’s doing and if he’s now considered a potential starter then happy days.

Best away performance this season. Actually dominant for large parts of that second half. Only disappointing things were the goal conceded and the fact that chances weren’t taken. Walta looked more comfortable that second half and was a lovely shot that the keeper had to palm away.

Not getting carried away as QPR have one of the worst defences in terms of goals conceded but I’ve liked us on the ball a lot more in parts of the last 2 games. I think Matos will get it right if we trust him.

The two CBs did a lot right tonight but I struggle to see how we can continue without having someone who is a natural ball player with a bit of pace playing there.

Excellent win, get a point at Norwich and win against Charlton to end the season well!
