Strikers quite often need to have a run of games to get into their stride, Vipotnik's never had that, he's in, he's out. Rarely gets more than one game on the bounce and usually substituted on or off.

Not saying he'd blossom with a run of games, just he's not had that. Strikers are usually confidence players too, so chopping and changing doesn't do his confidence much good either.

It could be he moves on and the next team plays him more and to his strengths, score goals and sold for 10 million+. Its the way it goes with us.

(yes he could be useless lol)

A run of games is what I'm asking for (unless we do complete the signing of another striker of course). I admit that I'm leaning towards the view that he's probably not good enough, but it feels to me like strikers suffer the most when they're in and out of the team.

The counterpoint to the "hasn't had a run of games" argument is ever since he came he hasn't been able to break into an average side, and has usually played second fiddle to another striker who also doesn't score many goals.

For me, if it looks like a duck and quacks like a duck, well....

Yes, I'll give you that one. If it had just been Williams who didn't fancy him that's one thing, but Sheehan is clearly not convinced also.
