• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

Strikers quite often need to have a run of games to get into their stride, Vipotnik's never had that, he's in, he's out. Rarely gets more than one game on the bounce and usually substituted on or off.

Not saying he'd blossom with a run of games, just he's not had that. Strikers are usually confidence players too, so chopping and changing doesn't do his confidence much good either.

It could be he moves on and the next team plays him more and to his strengths, score goals and sold for 10 million+. Its the way it goes with us.

(yes he could be useless lol)

A run of games is what I'm asking for (unless we do complete the signing of another striker of course). I admit that I'm leaning towards the view that he's probably not good enough, but it feels to me like strikers suffer the most when they're in and out of the team.

The counterpoint to the "hasn't had a run of games" argument is ever since he came he hasn't been able to break into an average side, and has usually played second fiddle to another striker who also doesn't score many goals.

For me, if it looks like a duck and quacks like a duck, well....

Yes, I'll give you that one. If it had just been Williams who didn't fancy him that's one thing, but Sheehan is clearly not convinced also.

You knew last week when he didn’t get on infront of Culls and Wales he’d be off, told you guys it’s all part of the process ready for Mr Wow to have the number 9.

You did call it 👌👌. I just didn't see him going. But myself included irrelevant if I was late to the party, the Crawley match for me and a lot of those who supported VP, finally gave into that he was not good enough. He has had opportunity to take the shirt, and though glimpses, he will now without a doubt be gone. Pity, we all wanted there to be a player but as many have said if you can't get ahead of Cullen then there is a problem. Yes, Cullen contributes alot more to the team and I like him at times, but he is not a striker. And that says it all. If VP didn't have fans before he won't now, not after unofficially putting his transfer request in. He certainly isn't a certain Newcastle player.

I think we was all hoping for a Mitrovic type of player, but he just doesn’t offer much at all unfortunately, think he’ll go on to do well elsewhere though back in Europe somewhere, hopefully can get a decent fee for him.

Perfectly said. Mitrovic was type of player I wanted him to be. Hopefully as you said we get a decent fee for him and he fades off somewhere in Europe.

After watching him vs Crawly thought his body language did not impress like his poor performance unfortunatly, the trouble with a lot, not all is they think they are better than they actually are and instead of getting their head down and actualy work on their game they just throw the toys out of the pram , pity really if he has asked to leave then adios and bring in the lad Wilson he wont be much worse and he wants to be here
