Good win, happy days, plenty of celebrations in Cyprus tonight, looking forward to getting back to Wales to see the next games. My take on today is:
1) Fulton = disaster even with cameo appearance
2) Cullen = not doing it as solitary striker, need to buy quality striker quickly
3) Eom = More ineffective than effective
We are all quick to criticize the ref when he has a mare, but Kirk was excellent today. When Cannon stepped into Key to try and win a pen, he wasn't having it. We've all seen them given too many times.
Great shift by Cullen. He's a square peg in a round hole but is giving it his all.
3 terrific points. Just treading water until the squad is complete so everything is a bonus.
Sheffield United have regressed, we have improved. We were the better team today. I love our central midfield. There's just so much more energy to it these days. That's what won us the game today.
Give that midfield another couple of weeks together and they’re really going to cook (as the youngsters say). Get a decent striker in and we’ll do okay this season.
It almost seems odd to say, but it's encouraging that Franco didn't stand out today. The quality around him has raised so much he doesn't have to be chasing and harrying everything because we've got people who can help him.
Galbraith looks quality. Yalcouye a little dazzled a bit by the pace as the game went on, but he'll adapt.
