One poster summed it up: “I remain convinced that our central midfield is now one of the top 3 in the Championship”

This line sounds familiar :D

No doubt about the fact that we are on the verge of having a team that will possess the intensity to compete for the full duration of a game. Add a goalscoring striker to the squad and cover for our full backs plus the Forest midfielder's signing being announced and we should have our strongest squad of players since relegation from the PL in 2018.

Just imagine the effect the substitution of Eom and Ronald for Widell and Inoussa on 60 minutes will make on our opponents, especially a few weeks down the road when the likes of Eom, Inoussa and Widell will be fully fit and a bit more accustomed to Championship football.

We have needs in other areas as well. Midfield is the least of our problems.

It’s a profile we don’t have in midfield and we’ll be able to rotate between 5 good midfield options. I’m happy with the Stamenic signing.

A striker will be addressed and we’ll no doubt bring in cover for the LB position. Other than that our squad isn’t looking too bad when all are fit.

If you look at videos of him, he Looks like a battling defensive midfielder. A bit of a unit, with a much needed physical presence.
The engine of any team starts with midfield. we were missing a couple of cylinders under Lukewarm. Grimes in particular needed a spark plug up his arris. Now in midfield we seem to be edging close to firing on all cylinders.
I think Stamanic could help us tick over nicely.

He'll very much be a backup. Hoping we've picked him up quite cheaply with him being out of favour elsewhere

Yes be nice to be able to sub players and hopefully not see the team performance dip.
Thats why we need so many.

Will be costing us a few million so will very much be considered a first teamer.
We have some players to keep happy in midfielder, I still wouldn't rule out Franco or Key going on the last day.

Totally agree

Another midfielder? WTF.
Some moan when we sign players and moan when we don't all a bit strange.
We playca high intensity game players need to be subbed.
The club are actively after a striker possibly 2.

Stamenic will be our 9th signing of the window what is there not to be positive about.
