Well, I got wet and a very disappointing evening all round.
Had a good look at Galbraith at right back on our side in the first half. He's obviously not a right back. Fine footballer but positionally all over the place and wasted in that position.
Isah worked very hard but playing up front for this team must be soul destroying.
The young lad got done by an old pro who accused him of diving and then dived as though he'd been shot. You can't do that though and a hard lesson learned for the youngster.
We battled hard in the second half. We'll, except for Eom who kept giving the ball away and standing still. I can't stand laziness.
Widell had a nice cameo and Tymon put in some lovely crosses begging to be finished.
Oh, and the ref. Among so many issues with the ref he points to his watch twice in injury time (just 3 minutes!) and tells the keeper to stop wasting time and then rewards the time wasting by blowing up precisely on 3 minutes.

Why can't we play with some tempo and aggression from the first minute?
Sort it out Sheehan!

There's also a sense for me that if we make the right change early, there's nothing in this league this season. I reckon we'd still have half a chance of mounting some sort of challenge
We can certainly be doing much better than we are currently.
Performances are terrible! It's just not working and players are not suited to the style.

The last 10minutes, we are down to 10 men and we are attacking, passing the ball, Tymon is pushing on and putting lovely crosses in, Vipotnik offered more. If these boys are instructed to attack with purpose then we will create and score more goals.

Starting feel like the beginning of the end when it did for Williams.

I still think he can turn it around, needs to do something quick though. The bank of good will is running empty.
It's defo feeling like that. Sheehan is looking a bit lost with why we don't have the cutting edge in his post match. As you said the bank of good will only last so long. I do wonder if the new owners will be ruthless or drag it out if it gets worse?

Why do we start every game like we quite happy to settle for 0-0 draw.

Defence and strikers will hold their own in this division, but at the moment midfield and wingers is a massive problem. Galbraith is the only player in that group that I have confidence in.

For me at the moment:

Stamenic - is not much of an upgrade on an ageing Fulton and what prefer Galbraith in that holding role/Grimes role.
Franco - not sure what he does other than run around a little.
Yalcouye - little bit of a let down so far, but it could be Sheehan's tactics.
Inoussa - You just get flashes with no end product.
EOM - Not a huge fan, but thought he was only one that looked half lively tonight, but again no end product.
Ronald - Just runs into dead ends with poor end product.
Benson - Looks like he will spend more time with physios.
Widell - Unknown, but can at least shoot at goal.

Where the creativity and goals are coming from is anyone's guess.

Saw Sheehan say in his post match that we purposely tried to keep the ball when at 10 men to limit counter attacks/danger. We looked more comfortable when on the ball in the second half and were better playing through the lines, although some of that was QPR sitting off us (which surprised me). I think that suggests this side needs to focus more on in possession stuff. The press doesn’t seem as effective this season, we have to start playing to this squads strengths. Hoping we can change things around for a good performance and result on the weekend.

100% we need to play to the players strengths.

All the one's arguing tonight were not in the stadium tonight, says it all, part time supporters, I was watching the Swans against West End down landore circa 1997 in front of 300 fans.. and we lost 2-1, now that was sh*te.. and i bet the f*ckers arguing were nowhere to be seen
Well said Penlan. I must say that there are only a few armchair watchers in here that are OK with the priformaces this season, but I understand your frustration. I feel your pain, through watching my mighty swans since 1979, through good times and bad times, rain and shine, home and away. I see at the moment, we are going through the same boring football, as the last 4 years and long for a different manager.

And I think the problem is that we've caught it early. Martin and Williams both had a solid 9 months or so before fans turned, happened much sooner this time
Im not sure if it's the off field positivity or the players we bought in, the reason for fans turning faster? I'm in the camp we have signed good players and Sheehan somehow is making the players look worse. Something dramatic has to happen now for me to change my mind on Sheehan. I'll keep some faith but lose on Saturday and I think that will be it for me.

I was there tonight - Yalcouye looked to have earned a penalty and obviously he was frustrated. Their centre half saw an opportunity to wind him up and he took it. Obviously reckless but who made the decision? It didn’t look like the linesman was consulted and the ref had his back to the incident as I recall. Could it have been the 4th official who was at least 40 yards away?

Franco is well out of sorts and Stamenic first couple of games aside is a passenger.
We picked up when we placed Galbraith at 6 which is where he should play. Stamenic should only play if Galbraith is visibly tired to see out games. I would put Yalcouye at 8 (when back from suspension) and Widdell just wanted to attack from the moment he came on. I don’t give a fck what he’s like in training he is what we need to start forcing teams into the defensive and link midfield to attack. His moment was the free kick which Cullen insisted on taking and totally ballsed up. Sheehan has to play him and Galbraith at 6 as the foundation for the team.

Idah didnt have a bad game and Vipotnik was a threat the minute he came on. A mention for Key who performed well when he came on and Tymon for that unplayable ball into the 6 yard box that was begging to be tucked into the net.
I felt a bit sorry for Inoussa who was receiving the ball usually going backwards and having two men on him. Eom did nothing and should have been hooked in his place.
Let’s see if the Penny has dropped with Sheehan on Saturday

The biggest plus from tonight is that we have been tearing ourselves apart trying to figiure out our best formation.
Tonight we cracked it - we set up and start with 10 players. We were way better once the 11th man was taken out of the way.
