We want Sheehan out

The best way of summing up how much I do not want Russ Martin back at the club is how I would not even want him to manage another Championship team. I would fancy our chances even under Sheehan to beat his side but condemning us to 180 minutes of having to watch his team play is not even worth the six points.

He smashed us twice with Southampton.

It is not worse than Martin, Williams of Duff. But I think that is just because it is earlier and we have last season to hold onto. If we were judging based on just this season and had no previous emotional attachment to him, there may be a feeling that it is even worse that the Duff reign.

The problem with Martin and Williams was that they ground us down over time and by the end our goodwill had been eroded for months.
Not worse than Martin or Duff? I think it is reasonable to say Sheehan was gifted far more in terms of squad additions and money spent.

And Martin’s record in his Final 11 Matches:
  • Wins: 9
  • Draws: 2
  • Losses: 0
  • Points per Match: 2.63

A run included victories over playoff contenders Norwich City and West Bromwich. Progression was being made. We played some nice stuff during that run. Was it perfect? God no. But was way better than what we have seen this season.

But I wouldnt take him back, now, as he is toxic to a large part of the fanbase, (like you!).

Comparing Sheehan this season to Duff’s record:

    Total League Matches: 20
League Position at Time of Sacking: 18th in the Championship
Points Gap: Just 5 points above the relegation zone
    Points per Match: 1.2
    Final Run:
    • Wins: 1
    • Draws: 3
    • Losses: 4

      Sheehan record this season:
      Total League Matches: 15
League Position: 18th in the Championship
      Points per Match: 1.13
Points Gap: 7 points above the relegation zone

Last 8 game run compared to Duff:
      • Wins: 2
      • Draws: 2
      • Losses: 4

Thing thing is, benchmarks were made and the call for a pragmatic manager was being called for.
Duff came and it didn't work and now Sheehan seems to be struggling to produce with a pragmatic approach.
Fans who called for it are now digging their heels in, same way they said fans were digging heels 2/3 years ago when they were telling people it wasn't working with previous managers.
We are now seeing the shoe on the other foot and it's interesting to see how people are reacting.

Looking forward, we need a person who has experience and wants to play football.

We've backed the wrong horse, do we put him now or later. I've not enjoyed one league game this season, I can't wait to see the back of a pragmatic coach. Please deliver me an attacking minded coach for Christmas. I'm so close to calling it quits and just being a ceefax supporter because Saturday afternoon at the moment is depressing.
It certainly is depressing. The huge gaps in the stand are depressing as well. No doubt about it, Sheehan has lost it and is out of his depth. How many more mistakes must Key make before he's dropped, bring a decent manager in now. Im convinced the players there. Get into the top 6 and those gaps in the stands will be filled

Boom👍

some more stats for you:

- 4 wins in 15
- 18th in the league.
- 2nd worst XG in the league.
- Least Big chances in the league (15, with Weds the next team up with 23).
- 3rd least shots on target in the league.
- 2nd least touches in oppositions box.

Elaborate on this Andy boy, without blaming the players

Just to point out, we don't have the second worst xG. We have the worst. By a long way.

Derby are 23rd with 14.8, and we are smack bottom with 12.5 according to FotMob
