Flew into Bristol lunchtime today, staying in a Greene King pub/hotel just off the city centre tonight called Channings. Just polished off a steak and ale pie with buttered mash, washed down with a pint of Guinness.
It's funny what you miss as an ex pat. It's so nice to be sitting in a warm English bar full of locals, my stomach pleasantly full, bloody freezing outside.

Bloody typical Here am I stuck at home having had my gall bladder removed yesterday preventing me from being at Ashton Gate tomorrow and this morning I get a letter reminding me that my power will be off 12.00 to 15.00 tomorrow. So tablet it is instead of 48" TV
