Home is where the heart is Lisa, a glass of wine will be waiting for you in the Black Boy (or the Commercial) 🫶
When I was young it was the Commercial for us teenagers and Black Boy for parents (or a meal out for a birthday or similar - think it was a berni when I was a kid).
Haven’t been into either for years. Always go into the Village Inn these days.

Amazing food in the Village now apparently

Yep thought so, just looked it up, Thanks

Its always looked lively there when we've past in car, outside tables and chairs in warmer weather I take it?
Yes. They have big doors at that open right out so you can be inside but outside if you see what I mean and lots of seating outside in the summer. Have Swans matches on as well.

You know you can move them to a different car?

Anyway, don’t have one, don’t want one, but some are good. Someone that lived quite close to where I used to live had two cars (RR and Aston) that had the two plates

NOT 2BE
Yes, I’m aware you can move them. I should have made what I said a little clearer, it’s just that if people’s finances change, and they find themselves driving around in a 15-20 year old car, putting a private plate on looks a bit silly, although I understand for some, that they could never get rid of the private plate, because it was bought by their departed parents as a gift many years ago, and will hold sentimental value.

It's just Letters & Numbers on a piece of plastic. What difference does it make in what order they are and what car they are on.

I was a student at Swansea Uni 1974-77 and lived in Hendrefoilan student village the first year. One of my fondest memories is the gang who lived in our flat, nine of us, every so often walking up the road en masse for an evening out in the Black Boy. My tipple of choice in those days was a Manns-top!

Same dates as me Geography/Geology. Half a pint of Allbright in a pint glass topped with a bottle of Manns. Lived in Uplands for the first year and Mumbles for the next two.
