You don’t dominate Championship matches for 90 minutes and strength of squads is what matters with parachute clubs and Hollywood clubs to compete against.

We’re doing alright and the future is bright.
Nobody is saying you should dominate a game for ninety minutes , like you said that rarely happens but you shouldn’t completely fall apart either which is what we did.

Three points is three points but that doesn’t mean to say that you can’t be critical of some aspects of our performance and I don’t care who you are.

Ronald gets a bad press but under the way Matos wants the team to play he’s probably the first name on the team sheet, lacks quality in the final third but his work rate is second to none…make a great right back in my opinion.
Just swop places with Key, and you kill 2 birds ect. You get a good fast and skilful winger, and you make sure Ronald doesn’t cross the halfway line.

Well I got what I wanted. 6 points from the two games.
The chance to kill the game off early in the second half would have been fully deserved.
It seemed as.If we then started to play within ourselves and Portsmouth started to win the balls we were winning.
After they scored we seemed to go into panic mode with no out ball.
We dug deep but also defended too deep.
So so glad but.not a last 15 mins I want too often

.
Well to be fair we didn't completely fall apart as we would have lost the game if so.

It was fixture management gamble by Matos, which paid off. Yes..just - but it's a new development/learning process. We take it and move on

In the 2nd half our lot looked unrecognisable compared to what they achieved in the 1st, which was sublime it has to be said.

Still, I’m overjoyed and thankful with the win, although I’ll be keeping my powder dry, on the prospect of celebrating getting into the playoffs this time, as every time we get tantalisingly close to doing so, something happens to snatch it away again.

Friday feels to me like it’s going to be one of the biggest games of the season, and it’s not just because of the glitz and glamour of the occasion.

Win it, and the race is on for a playoff spot, lose it and I believe that our race is run for it to become a reality, for this season at least.

Of course, I don’t want our players to get into such a negative mindset should they fall short on the day, as anything could happen, and I’m sure it would be a boon for them to be reminded of how, under Cooper, we just about managed to squeak into the playoffs on the final day of that crazy season.

So keep going lads as you never know, you just never know.
