• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

There shouldn't be any illegal immigration full stop. There should be however a fast track legal immigration policy which supports genuine asylum seekers.

The boats situation is just encouraging more people trafficking and putting lives at risk.

Security and safety of the public with unvetted individuals continues from a minority of passport less arrivals.

Illegal immigration in the UK has been an issue in some form for over a century

Meanwhile, we have de facto criminals running water companies who are pumping shit into our seas and rivers without consequence. There is a despot running the USA, starting wars as a distraction just to stop people linking him to a dead paedophile. We have a Prime Minister who is a dead man walking because he promised to clean up politics but was very quickly exposed as being on the take with freebies. Ahead in the polls is a horrible, divisive politician whose stated aims include torching the NHS and taking the country out of the ECHR if he wins the election, basically so he can roll back decades of hard won employment protections and drag working conditions into a race to the bottom with countries like Singapore.

I could go on.

Check it out online - there is a relatively famous cartoon of a Rupert Murdoch type, sat at a table with a 'foreign' looking man and a 'white van man' type. Murdoch has got a huge plateful of cookies. The foreigner has none. The WVM has one. Murdoch says to the guy with the hard hat "be careful mate, he's after your cookie".

Threads like this are exactly what the Murdochs of this world want - let's get us worrying about the people who have nothing, while they make off with all the cookies.

Job done, if this thread is anything to go by.

The Sun highlights 200,000 in 8 years in a country of almost 70 million, 0.29% is potentially entering the country illegally. Doesnt sound quite so dramatic as the big red headline does it?
I wouldn’t go as far as to say that they have highlighted the 8 years part, certainly not in the same way as they have attempted to wind up the right with big bold font for the 200,000.

A six pager titled 'stop the boats' that was only started yesterday...I'll grab my popcorn before I start reading. :ROFLMAO:

What's happening with the water companies is a national disgrace, a few of them should behind bars not raking in millions of pounds in bonuses

It’s also playing with stats. Highlighting the headline figure with Starmer pictured all the well knowing figures are improving under Starmer.

It’s blatant manipulation to keep people angry

Works a treat as well. Every time.

No worries Pacey, the 8 years is actually there on the front page. You just need the Hubble Telescope to see it.

A few years ago everything was the fault of the EU. That doesn’t work any longer so now it’s blame the immigrants on the small boats. Meanwhile people are happy to get their cars hand washed, nails done and pizzas delivered no questions asked. Sad. A nation of hypocrites.
