    The two things are not mutually exclusive. The club cannot go on losing £15m a season. Sheehan will be backed to the best of its ability, the same as everyone else was. If he thinks we can go on a splurge, then he's not the right guy. I think he's smarter than that though.

    Grimes' 20 passes into the final third would mostly have been back and fore between the wingers. Ticks lots of boxes for the stats geeks. Progressive, completed, final third. Don't actually hurt the opposition though.

    We also shortly brought Cullen on to lead the line and lacked any kind of out ball for nearly half an hour, but of course it's all Fulton's fault. This is exactly the kind of thinking that I'm on about.

    Fulton has been fine in most of if not all of the games he's played since Grimes left. Many thought he was a MOTM contender at Leeds. Why people continue to single him out for criticism I don't know. Habit maybe.
