    I know he’s on a big contract but it hasn’t helped, for the last god knows how long, everyone from the keeper to the striker has been under strict instructions to pass it to the bloke next to you. I think he’ll come good and won’t let us down.

    Everyone sees different things, personally I see a player who’s underperformed but with the right manager, system and players around him, is more than capable of doing a job. I am an optimist though.

    Very happy with this. Always like to read what opposition fans think of players and the feeling was, he was top of most wanted lists as he’s a premier league player, playing in League 1. He’s ours, an international and a high ceiling. Great signing.

    The initiatives to fill the South Stand for the last few games will pay dividends IMO. I know more than a few people who hadn’t been since covid, took their kids for the Oxford game and were blown away.

    The thing that’s driven my mad since relegation is the lack of pace out wide and a lack of movement in midfield. If you have that, anything is possible in this division. I’ve got a feeling whoever our striker/s are this year, they’re going to have chances.
