    Brian Wilson RIP ...

He would have been delighted to see the return of Stereolab. The cover of their first album 'Peng' was his avatar. Would have been gutted by Wilson's passing as are many of us. Sadly a foretaste of what's to come.

    Brian Wilson RIP ...

One of the few true visionaries in popular music. No "Pet Sounds" then no "Revolver" or "Sgt Pepper's". Will raise a glass to Brian tonight to thank him. RIP Brian

    Nathan Jones

Long-time Cardiff fan and youth player. Went to the same school as me (five years behind). Wife and a few mates know him and say he's a decent bloke. Does not come over well though

    The Liverpool incident.

I don't think this was terrorism, but manipulation by the media and on social media has been driving misogyny, racism, homophobia and pseudoscience. It pervades into culture. "BBC are leftys (sic)", "we have extreme left wing government", "what was the middle is now seen as right wing", 'our...

    The Glastonbury 2025 Thread

Apparently I saw Oasis in '93. Have zero recollection but clearly remember watching Tim Finn in the acoustic tent and some bizarre Japanese sci-fi in the cinema tent

I went in '92 and came back with Campylobacter . Never thought I would end up researching it!

    The Glastonbury 2025 Thread

I begrudged paying 30-odd quid. Last time I went was 1994 and have no intention of going now even if 45 minute down the road. . I did go to Glastonbury town last week . We had a lovely lunch, bought a display cabinet and a few bits a pieces before a quick trip to the Clark's village in Street.

Car crashes into celebrating Liverpool fans.

It would seem he was under the influence of drugs and tailgated an ambulance onto a closed road (Dale Street and on to Water Street). Whilst there is footage circulating of the car being attacked prior to ramming people it would be better not to speculate what prompted this act. I'm just...

    Andor season 2

Take the 'Star Wars' out and that was a great political thriller regardless. Proper dialogue and character development. Some great performances, not least Ben Mendelsohn's almost unhinged interrogation of Denise Gough's Meera-much unscripted I have read. Star Wars where people die. And of...

    Play-offs

That's correct-there's a lot more promotion of the Bears than the Robins locally which suggest this to be true

Really enjoyed it when we went a few years ago. Worth going on the submarine (Growler) too.

Fleet Air Arm Museum. There's also one at Manchester Airport along with a few other planes including a Nimrod at the observation area. One in New York (and the Enterprise prototype space shuttle) at the Intrepid museum. I personally like Cosford (near Telford) which has all three 'V' bombers and...

    Mike Peters RIP

Alarm frontman sadly passes away at 66. Seemed like the only welsh band in the mid-80s and enjoyed them supporting U2 https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/c5y7mxzn9nlo

    Do you remember....

I was at a conference so only had two days. Though even went on a boat trip the morning before coming home. Really liked Cape Town and as you say preposterously cheap with a weak Rand

I could see that against Oxford. May be a nothing game for both sides if the U's win at Cardiff.
