Just had a look at his stats on wikipedia, out of curiosity. He's managed 260 games so far in his career and in those 260 games his teams, despite often averaging 60-70% possession, have somehow conceded a total of 371 goals (an average of 1.4 goals per game), with an overall goal difference of...

Really enjoyed that tonight, great to see plenty of attack minded football being played. I said a few weeks ago that Galbraith will prove to be a better player for us than O'Brien, the guy is class. Inoussa and Tymon were playing some great stuff down the left in the first half. I'm glad for...

    Alan Sheehan.

You can be an attacking midfielder from a central position though, which is where I'd have him playing (with Franco behind). He looked a bit lost out wide yesterday, quite awkward when the ball came to him on the touchline

    Alan Sheehan.

What would he have done? The guy is busy and gets around the pitch but I think we need a lot more than that, namely one of our injured senior CBs, a winger who isn't looking to fall over at every opportunity and a tactical change to allow our striker to get involved in the game. O'Brien was...

Why can't Franco do that job? Him scuttling around with Widell and Galbraith ahead of him is our best midfield in my opinion. If we bring in another starting midfielder, which of them misses out?

It was odd to see Widell playing from the left, he struggled to get involved much. I think we would have looked better with Franco, Galbraith and Widell in midfield, Ronald LW and Inoussa RW

I still don't know how he wasn't sacked after a run of (I think) 2 wins in 23 games

I was disappointed he played the whole game, would have been good to see Cotterill get some minutes

The one he hit straight at the keeper? I did say I may have forgotten one 😂 They're going to be playing PSG next season, while we'll be playing Charlton so context is very important in terms of the standard of opposition today. As someone else said, they were just sharper than us all over the pitch

So we're just talking about the first 15 minutes of the second half then? In which time we failed to score (I don't remember us having a shot either but I may be wrong) and we only scored from a penalty which was won immediately after they made 3 subs

It was partly that but mostly that Lorient were 3:0 up and took their foot off the gas, as well as replacing almost their whole team

An angry penalty from Cullen, his body language today has shown he's clearly frustrated at the ball not getting forward to him

If the tactics mean the ball never gets to the striker, no striker will be able to do anything. It's the same problem we had under Williams

Yeah, that's why I didn’t count the 1 against Cheltenham. The opposition today are very good, they won the French second division last season, so a loss isn't too surprising (although it would be good to avoid a hammering). More concerning for me is the fact we've played games against sides...

Galbraith and Widell both outstanding but seem to only want to pass to each other. Still no goals scored in pre-season, apart from the 2 x 60 minute games against Stevenage. The style of play is still far too negative, has Cullen had a touch yet? Hopefully we'll improve as the new players...

    Should we be concerned?

Cooper is nowhere near good enough. Considering he's supposed to be an attacking midfielder, his stats are: 22/23: 6 goals and 2 assists in 44 games 23/24: 1 goal and 3 assists in 38 games 24/25: 1 goal and 2 assists in 29 games Total: 8 goals and 7 assists in 111 games Admittedly, he's...
